Quiet hotel on hill overlooking the town.Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Quiet and helpful
Cons: With their resources, I doubt that there are any necessary changes at present. It will need re-decorating soon
Location: We were only overnighting on our way to Portugal, so only had a quiet amble through the old town
Very hospitable owners of this small hotel. No evening dinning facilities, but room service available (limited but very adequate). As an option this was served in the breakfast room. Secure parking for the 8 rooms. Breakfast was made available early and done so with pleasure.

Beautiful hotel away from downtownPosted Jun 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
La Villa Hotel really earns its stars. Beautiful rooms in older home that has been expertly restored. The staff is really wonderful, they bring you breakfast in bed, hot cocoa on a cold afternoon and terrific help on travel issues, reservations etc. Either the simple breakfast or the more elaborate one with meats and cheeses are both well done and very filling, actually more food then we needed. The second floor rooms have terrific bathrooms and very good beds. We will definately use this hotel again if in the area.

Great hotel for a day trip or a week.Posted Oct 24, 2012
Pros: A few favourites, the room itself, the grounds, the service
Cons: Have not got one complaint
Location: Above central bayonne, a long walk or very short drive to city center
This is a small hotel on a large lot, with a gate and parking in the driveway. It is close to the center of Bayonne, although we drove (3 minutes) to the center and parked for free after 19:00 The person in charge could not have been nicer, the bedroom was excellent, by any standards, both large and relaxing, with a good, very separate shower area, and a nice window view. The grounds are charming and you will feel very well served by going to this hotel.

A quiet spot away from a great cityPosted Oct 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
A pleasant surprise compared to most hotels in Europe - the room was massive, the bathroom was spacious and the location overall was exactly what I needed after a 12 hour drive from Switzerland. I'd definitely stay there again if visiting Bayonne. Free and fast WiFi was also a big help.

We stayed one night in this hotel. The service we received was very good, the room was lovely with everything we needed, very clean. It is located a few minutes away from the centre of Bayonne in a very quiet residential area. We had breakfast in the garden, which was of a good quality and very peaceful. We felt very spoilt.

A charming hotel in BayonnePosted Oct 21, 2011
A lovely old house in a residential area around 20 minutes walk from the old town. There seemed a lack of amenities you would expect from a 4 star hotel but this was offset by the charming rooms, furnished with antique furniture. We were assured by the receptionist on arrival that lifts to and from the old town are part of the service but the owner and his wife who were later on duty do not speak English and as our French is fairly non existent, we walked back and forth several times. Not an arduous walk but it became somewhat tedious! Overall, a pleasant hotel for a night or two.
