"Thoroughly recommended!!!!!"
My partner has fibro myalgia and a heart condition and her two kids have autism and sensory needs so finding the right hotel was a MUST!!!!!! I did my research and everything seemed to point to the Crowne Plaza. I was very nervous on arrival as I knew the consequences of what getting it wrong would look like. But as soon as we arrived we all felt pleasantly overwhelmed and really satisfied with the beautiful outside architecture, vibrant square, Metro and Taxi rank on our doorstep and welcoming warm lobby area. Ok so when we checked in at 4 we were told we would have to wait 45 mins for our room to be cleaned which was a bit of a bummer after a long trip but a round of free complimentary drinks and 2 bucket sized portions of great French fries papered over the disappointment and then we were told we could have a room upgrade - So no complaints there!!! FREE WIFI (in the past this was not the case and therefore was a bit of a downer), really quiet and very comfortable and affordable rooms, good bathroom. We all had a great stay and I will definitely stay there again the next time im in beautiful Paris!!!!

    Where to stay in Bastille

Pocket Guide: Paris Bastille - Republique IHG Shopping Hotels

Northeast of Place de la Bastille, this working-class neighbourhood is gradually becoming fashionable with younger Parisians. Trendy boutiques, cafés and bars are replacing the older shops and bistros, although some old-fashioned workshops survive. Left-wing sentiments are aired here annually on 14th July when France commemorates the Revolution. A few paving stones mark the site of the former Bastille prison.
