Birthday weekend!

Posted Jul 4, 2015
The staff at the desk was not friendly. We had to ask about breakfast. There was a spot on the chair that I refused to sit in! The bathtub water was started and then just stopped. Overall it was close to party

Location: museums, restaurants, downtown
We received a warm welcome and our check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean and updated, the a/c worked great.

In town for mountain bike race with spouse and son

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: As stated above, really everything that I would hope and want. Had a decent breakfast as well. The lobby is very large and comfortable.
Cons: Can't think of a thing other than maybe different pillow choice.
Location: It was very close to our event site. Pretty area geographically. Old town La Grange to walk around to shop, eat.
Hotel was very nice. Safe, clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy access from any direction. Good restaurants within easy reach.

Nice Stay

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Location: The location is really awkward. But once you figure out how to get to it, everything was good.
Nice Clean Room. Housekeeping was very amicable giving us extra towels and coffee packets. Great Hot breakfast. REAL eggs, sausage/gravy, Waffles and more.

Clean and easily accessible option

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: Clean, nicely laid out rooms.
Cons: The receptionist was on the phone when I got there and stayed on the phone for 7 min while I was ignored but it was ok, really. I was just grouchy.
Location: Uh, not much.
One of only a few options in La Grange, the Best Western Plus is a reasonable option for a reasonable price. Nothing earth shatteringly good, but definitely not a bad place to spend the night.

Good continental breakfast.

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Good breakfast selections and clean atmosphere.
Too much highway noise in the room facing the highway. Limited TV channels and not in HD.

Eh...just ok.

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The decor was really nice. The front lobby was well decorated with a couch and big bookshelf with all sorts of appealing travel books.
Cons: Attention to detail from the cleaning staff and replace grout in the tubs if necessary.
Location: The music festival at Round Top was 20 minutes away. The hotel was also really close to the Jersey Barnyard.
The Best Western at Lagrange was ok - a bit pricey for what you get. The hotel staff at check-in was ok - she didn't smile or feel particularly welcoming but she wasn't rude either. The tub in our room had maybe 5 questionable areas (orange, misshapen spots in the caulking) that was a bit icky, plus a floating gray piece of grossness that came off of the mat for the tub. The carpet in the room had a huge sticky spot from a piece of gum that had worn into the carpet for the past few months right next to the bed. The breakfast was fantastic - eggs, waffles, cereal, juice, though something was wrong with the coffee maker. The pool had a floating lifejacket that had hundreds of dead flies under it that tended to float into the pool randomly. Beds were really comfortable and clean.

Very comfortable.

Posted May 21, 2014
Pros: It was clean and easily accessible.
Cons: The pool area; it is Texas after all. No channel guide to know what playing on TV. Breakfast could go later, especially on the weekends.
Location: There is nothing to do nearby. It's in the absolute middle of nowhere.
We stayed here because a wedding was in the area. The hotel and our room was clean and comfortable. There was nothing special about the pool area. It was small and basic.
