Good Value in BathPosted Oct 28, 2007
Eagle House was comfortable and friendly, we had a room with a lovely view of the garden; it was so tranquil that it was hard to believe that Bath was a short drive away. The breakfasts were very good quality with a choice of Continenetal with lovely hot croissants or for a small supplement "the full works English fry up!"

Base CampPosted Oct 12, 2007
This is an ideal base for a sightseeing trip around this part of the West country, the accomodation is clean, quiet and friendly, although the 'Art' in the palour needs to find a buyer asap, but then it is a family home you stay at rather than a hotel. An enjoyable stay at a place that has something diffent to offer.

Ignore the hypePosted Aug 17, 2007
The Eagle House Hotel is set in the lovely location of Bathford, and we decided to stay the night based on the reviews and rating on this very website. The building itself is a magnificent structure but the place itself really does need updating. The wallpaper has probably been there since the 70s and the split bathroom area looks like it's been made ensuite with as little thought and cost used as possible. The rooms don't have air conditioning and the windows do not open fully to allow a good breeze to come through. The floors also appear thin as we managed to quite clearly hear the conversation that the people in the room below were having. The staff on arrival were very friendly detailing to us the history of the building however the staff the following morning at breakfast thought it was a lot of effort if you required anything other than what was already on the breakfast table. All in all we definitely won't be going back as we could get the same service and sweaty nights sleep at somewhere far cheaper.

Delightful hotel just outside BathPosted Jun 22, 2007
Friendly and prompt service, delightful setting just outside Bath. Delicious breakfast. The hotel also has tennis courts and a trampoline in their back garden, which could be good fun when it isn't raining.
