Nice Hotel - would gladly return

Posted Apr 7, 2014
I only stayed for one night but it was a pleasant experience. Staff were friendly and attentive, the room was very clean and decor was good compared to ALL other Accor hotels I have stayed in. Breakfast was continental and I had been advised of a discount at check in. While I was satisfied with service, the selection was rather limited even with the a la carte optuins which made me wonder if the price even with a discount, was a bit high. The location is excellent, a short taxi ride from Bath Spa train station and close to a selection of good restaurants including 2 vegetarian/vegan restaurants. Car parking is available but appears limited. All in all, its decent and convenient.

Centrally located and full of character

Pros: The quality and character, and the friendliness
After 5 weeks touring in Europe it was wonderful to have a 'proper' room and all 'mod cons'.

Great location for shopping in the city of Bath

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Booked mainly for location and value for money on Bed and Breakfast basis.
Cons: More attentive staff at breakfast and tables for two were on the small side. Plates were not cleared from our table throughout the meal.
Location: Ideal for shopping and visiting the Roman Baths. Close to the theatre and several restaurants.
Booked the hotel as a birthday treat staying in a feature room. Well it certainly had character with the uneven floors, quirky in an old building! Liked the house plates on our bedroom door informing you which house number it used to be on the street. Not sure of the significance of the painting on the ceiling above the bed! Fabulous shower room facilities with a great view over Queens Square. Took us awhile to work out the heating controls though.

Fix the heat and have heat in the bathroom!

Posted Feb 12, 2014
Very nice hotel and pleasant staff. You know they have a heating problem when you call about your room being cold and they are OUT of portable heaters! We also requested on our Expedia booking one room if a roll-away bed could be accommodated. They gave us two rooms when we checked in. When I complained about the cold temp of the room (no adjustment as they were out of heaters), they mentioned they could have given us one room with a roll-away bed, but did not and provided and charged us for two rooms. We were given a nominal refund of 60 lbs... Less than half the cost of the 2 rooms (there were only 3 of us traveling). We do not recommend the hotel unless you plan on a cold night sleep and no accommodation when you request one room with a roll-away bed

Great location, friendly and helpful staff

Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Location, style of rooms, customer service
Cons: Breakfast could be slightly cheaper
Location: Royal Crescent, the Raven Pub
Attractive hotel in a good location. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Rooms at the front overlook a nice square. Room was very clean and tidy with a good bathroom and shower. Extremely comfy bed. Much nicer than a typical chain hotel like Marriot or Hilton etc.
