First trip to BathPosted Jun 24, 2014
A fantasic hotel, we arrive two hours early but this did not seem to cause a problem for the staff. We were offered refreshments and then given lots of helpful advice on how to get into town and places to see. Returned to our room after usual check-in time and was really surprised at how lovely the room was. Nice smellies in the bathroom, gowns in the wardrobe and get tea/coffee facilities along with AC which was needed as the weather had been good. We came down to breakfast at around nine and the room was very busy and so had to wait a while until a table became vacant, during this time we were offered tea/coffee and the staff couldn't do enough to help. Only advice I would give is to reverse into the parking spaces as it can be difficult to get out - but it was good to have onsite parking. Would recommend this hotel and stay again.

Nice Hotel Shame about the hike!Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Hotel Staff were very welcoming & approachable. The Breakfasts were wholesome. Room No 16 where we stayed was very roomy with a four poster bed.
Cons: Room No 16 lacked a full length mirror.
Location: Location is good for the hale & hearty. Bath is a lovely town with plenty to see and do. Good choice of Restaurants, Shops and Attractions.
Hotel was good but if you wanted to visit Bath on foot the uphill journey back to the Hotel is a challenge! The Car Park is very small and situated on a tight bend on a junction of a busy road. No disabled access.

Beautiful period B&BPosted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: It has everything you could want - position, atmosphere, comfort, good breakfast & helpful, pleasant staff.
Cons: The only criticism is lack of parking space
Location: This is located in Bath. Everything is near by.
Extremely good experience. Our stay could not have been better.

Warm and welcoming.Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: The very welcoming staff. Even though its up a hill, that means there are great views.
Cons: Just some more hanging space - 2 hangers is just not enough
Location: 10 minute walk down to centre of town.
Staff really very pleasant. Public rooms /breakfast really good, great choices and fresh. Nothing I was not aware of, i.e. up the hill. Pleasant walk down to town (10 mins and I'm a slow walker) - get a cab back or there are buses but still walkable in good weather. The only reason I say 4 instead of 5 in room is lack of wardrobe/ hanging space. Although I had a small single room, I have had much smaller and paid more elsewhere. Everything else comfortable, clean and working. Nice toiletries. I had very poor weather so did not use the garden but it looked like it would be good in summer.

very enjoyablePosted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
The location, the staff and the breakfast were all excellent. Clearly committed to providing their guests with a first class experience. We were on the first floor and the stairs are narrow and a little steep. But we knew this when we booked so we put what we needed for our stay in backpacks and we had no problem navigating the stairs. Entry is a little tricky being right on the corner and a little care is needed. Loved Bath (from Australia) and I strongly recommend the town and Oldfields.

Cosy hotel, freindly staffPosted May 26, 2014
Cosy hotel ideal for weekend break. Welcoming staff. Off road private car park. Nice room, full facilities. Bed a bit soft for my liking and breakfast menu a bit limited. I would stay again.

Good B&BPosted May 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is my first time in a b&b. The room is nice but a bit tight. It would have been better if there's more space to put our things. Breakfast is good. There is a menu to choose from. Food is prepared according to what you choose. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the train station. With heavy luggage, it is highly recommended to take a cab from the train station. It is not an easy walk, since it is a bit hilly. Cab ride is about 4 pounds.

Brief visit to BathPosted May 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our brief visit. Yes, Oldfields is a little walking distance away and uphill on return journey, but situated in pleasant garden in reasonably quiet location and away from mass of tourists.

A Very Pleasant StayPosted May 15, 2014
Our room could not be faulted, nor could the breakfast offered. We were greeted by friendly staff who even prepared a lovely welcoming pot of coffee. Recommended!
