Gorgeous Hotel in The Royal CrescentPosted Aug 24, 2014
We arrived to two very smiley staff front of house and were placed into the drawing room whilst our paperwork was gathered - which was very prompt. We were then advised that our room had been upgraded which was good news and escorted to our room overlooking the lovely gardens at the back. We were then given a tour of the room and shown out to gardens and the spa area - so great service. Our room was gorgeous and very in character with the period of the property, although one minor quibble - my husband complained to me that his pillow was too soft so woke up with a rather stiff neck the next day. I'm pretty sure the hotel would have sorted this one out should he have called housekeeping - hey ho. We met some friends in the hotel bar that evening and were introduced to some gorgeous cocktails that we've never tried before. Breakfast on both mornings was great, lots to choose from and all very tasty. We arranged massages whilst we were there which were great although I have to say the spa area was a little disappointing in that it had nowhere to sit so we arrived early for our massages to take advantage of the spa area and had to stay in the pool until our appointment - needless to say we ended up looking like shrivelled up prunes. Such a shame as the overall experience of staying here was great and we'd definitely stay here again. For those cat lovers like us, we had the added bonus of being visited by Toby and his sister in our room - gorgeous and very home from home.

The Royal Crescent is my favourite hotel in the UK. The staff and service are of an exceptional high standard.

Best hotel with the best locationPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Location location location. The staff, the spa (free for guests), the food, the rooms are comfortable and it's gorgeous.
Cons: stop charging for newspapers when you ask what papers we would like in the morning.
Location: It is a 10 min walk to all of the tourist attractions Bath has to offer an on the prettiest street in all of the city.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Bath, this is the hotel to stay in. The location is stunning and in close proximity to all the attractions and train station, the staff is excellent, and the hotel is probably one of the prettiest I have ever stayed in in my life. It is a classical hotel (ie: although the rooms are more modern, expect stunning period details and art) and the new renovations have made the hotel even more comfortable than it was before.

Tranquil oasis in iconic settingPosted May 18, 2014
Just superb. Very comfortable. Relaxing ambience. Great facilities and staff. A hidden gem in one of the country's most iconic settings. Cannot fault any aspect of our stay.

SpecialPosted Apr 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Despite a mess up by hotel.com the hotel duty staff were fantastic in sorting it out and generally made our stay special. The staff are a wide range of nationalities but all professional and focused on our comfort and well being. Thank you.

Beautiful Hotel in the royal Crescent.Posted Apr 18, 2014
The hotel was absolutely beautiful with helpful friendly staff. The garden was particularly lovely as all the spring flowers were out and it was great to be able to sit out for a peaceful drink after a day exploring bath.

Great LocationPosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Staff were all very helpful.
Cons: Tea / coffee in the room would be better than having to call down for it.
Location: A very classy location, I think the garden would be lovely in the summer.
Well appointed hotel - they were refurbishing the main reception area, but elsewhere everything looked and felt 5*. We stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate retiring and it did feel special.
