Very nice hotel, but value for money?Posted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: Pleasant, helpful staff. Location. Spaciousness.
Cons: It would be nice to not have a cold shower each morning. Rectifying a situation and appeasing a valid complaint from a customer.
Location: Bath is a beautiful City, very historical and characterful. Plenty of restaurants. Shopping is very good. Pleasant town/city walks
Our 2 nights at the Queensbury Hotel were very pleasant. The hotel staff were fantastic and very helpful throughout, whilst the hotel itself was spacious, clean and a short walk to the central locations of Bath. Having paid more than I would normally for a hotel, I was disappointed that we endured cold showers on both mornings of our visit. When I expressed my disappointment to the hotel staff at the time of the cold showers and upon check out, they were very apologetic, which was good to see. I asked for a discount, but was told that this was not possible at that moment. Instead, the staff member informed me that the manager would be in touch with me in order to try and rectify the situation. Unfortunately, having waited for a week now, and held off from writing any review, in the hope that I would be contacted, this has not happened. In short, a pleasant stay, let down by lack things that you not expect, when paying the amount of money that you do for a stay at this hotel.

Absolutely wonderfulPosted Nov 14, 2013
Pros: The location, the friendly and helpful staff, and the general quality of everything associated with the hotel.
Cons: Lack of internet access in the rooms
Location: Close to the Royal Crescent and the city centre
We came here for a short break, and we wanted something that was comfortable and close to the city centre. This hotel was ideal! The location is very good, being just slightly north of the main shopping street and close to the Circus and Royal Crescent. All the major sites in Bath are within walking distance. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms have quite a homely feel to them, complete with a sofa to sit on. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and warm, and the bathroom had a nice style to it. The one complaint I have is that there is no internet connection in the rooms, although I was just about able to connect to the lounge's wifi from our second-floor room. I don't normally go for breakfast in hotels, as it is always expensive, but the cooked breakfast we had here was certainly worth it: the French toast with bacon was wonderful, as was the coffee. The Continental breakfast is good, too, although I would recommend opting for a cooked one.

Just outside the town of TintagelPosted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
When we first arrived there was no one to let us in. An email earlier had asked us to estimate our arrival and we had said 4pm but we arrived a little after 3. A very friendly and outgoing young lady, who was standing in for the owners, greeted us when we returned at 4pm. Nonetheless, the hotel was lovely and large and we were the only guests that night. No a/c in most of hotels/B&B's in the area so the heat wave that England was experiencing made it a bit uncomfortable. But the evening cooled off. The hotel is out from town about 5 minutes. We were served dinner and breakfast which were both delicious and attractively presented.

Great hotelPosted Jul 22, 2013
Beautiful courtyard. Friendly service. Good cocktails. Get a cab or the hop on hop off bus to get there if you have lots of bags.

nice view of the city up here. Loved the old stylePosted Jun 28, 2013
Pros: It's age, comfort, and view of the city.
Cons: Clearer rules on included amenities like breakfast, wi-fi in the rooms, and lower cost.
Location: Downtown shoppes are five minutes away. Victoria Park is 10 minutes away. Bath Museums are 7 minutes away. All of these distances are via walking.
Loved the old style of the building and the asymetric rooms that are all unique. Some ambiguity over whether our paid night included breakfast(it didn't). The hotel staff were accomodating as they printed directions to the nearest laundromat and brought to our room.

The room was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. If you get a chance try a cocktail from the Q Bar.

Perfect Bath HotelPosted Oct 15, 2012 on Hotels.com
From the very friendly person I spoke to in a call to reception the day before I arrived to confirm something through valet parking, delightful staff, comfortable rooms, great location, lovely communal areas and a great restaurant. Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotelPosted Sep 8, 2012
Pros: All round great place to stay
Location: Great location for exploring central bath
This is by far one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We stayed for two nights to explore Bath and wished it was longer! We were met by friendly staff who took our bags to our room and parked our car. Once in the room decor was contemporary and comfortable with a great bathroom, fluffy towels and robes. Nice small touches such as turning the bed down and the dab radio made the stay even better. Communal lounge areas are stylish and comfy and the breakfast was top notch!
