Last stay

Stayed here many times and has been our favorite Baton Rouge hotel until this past weekend. Check in is 3 pm. We arrived at 3:30 and were told it would be at least 30 minutes before room was ready. At 4:10 we had a room. Went to room and noticed a very strong cleaning smell. Pulled covers back on beds and they appeared to be dirty sheets. Contacted staff and we had to leave room for 30 minutes while they changed sheets. Came back and realized the reason the cleaning smell was so strong was because the non smoking room had been smoked in. We requested another room and were told to leave for another hour while they cleaned a replacement room. The replacement room was somewhat dirty with no toilet paper. Went to front desk and received paper. Next day when we returned to hotel our cards wouldn't open the door. Had to return to front desk and have cards reprogrammed. At this point wife asked to talk to a supervisor and the person at front desk refused her request. We were given 2 free drink vouchers for our inconveniences

Staff was nice. Room was clean. Continental breakfast was way better than expected. definitely staying there again.

Room wasn't ready until 4:15. They claimed two washing machines broke down. Hard to believe a classy hotel like this has two machines break down at the same time and would only have 1 sheet available for every bed every night. I think they were just short on cleaning staff. Sat in lobby for 1 1/2 hr. waiting for room. Watched a customer walk in, ask for a room, handed guest clerk currency tip, and walked out with a room key. Proof money greases the wheel.

Nice hotel and great location

Pros: Very clean.
Cons: Furniture seemed tired and worn out
Location: Nice location with easy access to restaurants and shopping.
The rooms were large, nice and clean. But it seemed as though the hotel had been through a renovation except for the furniture! Sofa had a hole in it like a cigarette burn. The hotel is totally smoke free! But we did enjoy the hotel. It was nice, just hoping next time the bed is newer and no holes in the furniture!!

We were there for the Taylor Swift concert. Nice stay, enjoyed the pool.

Comfortable and relaxing

Location: Good for being close to LSU but it also affords access to downtown and the State Legislature.
No need to say much. This has always been and remains a good place to stay. Price and value are right, breakfast is good, everything comfortable. When I arrived recently I heard 18 wheelers passing on I-10 and feared the noise level but, despite being in Building B on the outside next to I-10, it was NOT a factor.

Location is close to everything. Nice hotel, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and free full breakfast. Will book this hotel for future visits.

Who's hair is this anyway?

1. The bed had hair and crumbs in it from the prior guest. 2. The shower curtain was stuck together and sticky from something. 3. The bathtub itself had hair in and around it. 4. The towel I was going to use to dry off with had someone else's hair in it, like it had been used and folded back up. 5. When told about my issues, I was given sheets to change my own bed. 6. When I checked out, they knew about all of my issues and they just said sorry, we will let someone know. Didn't expect too much, but clean is always an expectation. By the way, I'm bald, so no way the hair was mine.

Close to everything

Pros: Central location and friendly staff
Cons: The carpet and the curtains need a deep cleaning.
Location: We had a terrific lunch at Another Broken Egg restaurant which is in easy walking distance to the motel.
The lady at the front desk was very friendly and checked us in quickly. She also recommended a lunch place down the street that was excellent. Every place we wanted to visit in Baton Rouge was within a 15 minute drive of this location.
