Best Western Hotels used to be very nice.

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The kitchen staff. The air conditioning in our room and in the dining area.
Cons: This doesn't give me enough words to explain.
Location: The location was pretty much in the middle of everything we needed.
We went with Best Western for our week stay in Baton Rouge because BW used to have a good reputation. This hotel was uncomfortable to say the least. Hotel staff was minimal and seemed to be untrained. Did not understand what was asked of them and didn't respond to requests. There is no elevator in this hotel for help with older patrons to get luggage to the second floor. There was no top sheet on our beds. When asked for one, they said the hotel did not require housekeeping to put one on the beds. When, after several days, we got a top sheet (one), it was put on one of our beds, folded. When we asked for another one, it took a couple of more days to get it; and, when it came, they put it on top of the blankets on the beds. We remade the beds ourselves. One day, they came in our room and took our towels, but didn't clean the room and did not leave any towels at all (missed filling the toilet paper we needed also), and no new coffee supplies were laid in. The first day we were there, we tried to use the iron provided. It spit brown water all over one of our shirts. We washed it immediately, but damage was done. The last few days of our stay, the air conditioning went out in our hallway and was not fixed. Not a big deal, however, it is just one more thing. I must say, the breakfast every day was very nice and the dining room staff was very professional and a pleasure to talk to. We enjoyed the pool but, unfortunately, it was not clean.

Nice Hotel, easy access to Highway

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Very easy to find, seemed to be in a nice area and restaurants within a short driving distance. The pool was large and not too deep.
Cons: Bathroom shower fixture needed to be replaced.
Location: Restaurants were close by and shopping center was not far. The highway was close enough to be very convenient.
Hotel was very nice and clean. Our room slept 6 with 2 bathrooms so it was very comfortable. Close to the pool. The pool was large and the kids enjoyed playing in it. Staff was very polite and helpful. Hotel offered snacks in the evening and chilled water inside the Lobby. The full breakfast was very nice as well. Air conditioner worked great and the beds were very comfortable.

Not very comfortable!

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Needs elevator!
We booked a room with a king bed and a fold out couch because we have two kids. The fold out couch could barely fit one adult. So we had to squeeze three of us in the bed which sinks in the middle.

Thank you for taking time to leave feedback about your recent stay with us. I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Usually our pillow-top mattresses are one of our guests top amenities. It appears that you booked one of our standard rooms with a king size bed and pullout sofa. We also have suites available, usually not more that $10.00 additional dollars, that have a bedroom, separate living room with a larger pullout sofa and extra TV, and a full kitchen. We hope that you will give us another chance to exceed your expectations in the future. Jennifer Holmes General Manager

Pros: Front desk clerk and size of room.
Cons: Hire additional people to clean, check on the need to replace carpets or why there is an odor in the rooms.
Location: We were traveling to Texas so not in market for entertainment. But New Orleans is south of Baton Rouge.
We stayed 2 separate nights 2 different rooms. 1st room smelled of mildew. 2nd room was not like that but there was an odor that smelled like garbage. Not strong but there. The room was not cleaned until 5:00pm We got there at 4pm. There were not enough service people cleaning that day. Not sure I'd stay there again. The girl at the desk was trying her best and she was very pleasant.

Mary, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your recent stay with us. I am sorry to hear that we did not exceed your expectations. I want to thank you for being patient with us during the high occupancy due to the soccer tournament in town. It was seven full days of 100% occupancy. However, it is our goal to make every guest feel like this is their "Home Away from Home." I will certainly review all of your comments with my team to that we can work on improving those areas. We hope that you will give us another opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future. Jennifer Holmes General Manager

Pros: Being pet friendly.
Cons: The cover was heavy for this time of year. There were too many pillows!
Location: Location was good for us, as we needed to be fairly close to LSU.
I like the hotel for being pet friendly, a good breakfast and plenty of bathroom towels and accessories. I thought the room charge was very reasonable. For the most part it was pretty quiet. We will be coming back next month. We need to be close to LSU Veterinary of Medicine for our dog who needed to be there and the hotel was close enough.

one night trip

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: large room and free breakfast
Cons: bar was susposed to be open until 11, when we got there alittle after 10:30, the bar was closed and the bartender was locking up.
We were just pasing through for one night. Room was reasonably clean, some stains on carpet, but bathroom and beds were clean. Nice large room as we had 4 adults. Breakfast was hot and delicious, Great variety.

Hotel is very convenient

The hotel is located in the center of everything, fine dining, take-outs, stores (strip mall), movies, etc. You really don't need a car, you can actually walk to most of these places within 0-5 mins.

ROOM WAS GIVEN TO ANOTHER PERSON

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Housekeeping stole my luggage!
Cons: Nothing!
I made my reservations 6 months in advance and my room wasn't available. I reserved a suit and my room was given to someone else. Once I got there the best they could do is give me a standard room. The following day they had me change to a suit. Left some luggage in my old room when I changed rooms, and when I returned to my old room it was stolen. No one had yet checked in to this room but the hotel housekeeping department had cleaned it already. So who do you think stole my luggage? Never again!

Creig, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your recent stay with us. I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. We had several people that we tried to reach out to the week of your reservation to inform them that we may not have their original room type available due to extended renovations. Your reservation was one of those so that we could inform you of the room type change or give you the option of cancellation your reservation with no charge. However, since we could not reach you and your reservation was kept, we were able to accommodate your original room type on the second night of your stay. I did check with both the housekeeper that cleaned your room on your first night, along with the room inspector and executive housekeeper. They reported that no luggage was left in that room. We hope that you will give us another chance to exceed your expectations in the future. Jennifer Holmes General Manager
