Hotel is in desperate need of renovation.

The paint is peeling off all the banisters. The rooms need new carpet and new furniture. The towels & washcloths are worn out. But the staff is great.

Bad Experience

Pros: I did not like anything about this hotel
Cons: Keys and smell some Hotel Staff
Location: Location ok

Hair all over the shower, (not mine)

It is an aging location, ok for the $, however there was long black wavy hair all over the shower and sink when I walked in. I left it there and left a note in the room for the attendant and told the desk person. When I returned that evening. It was still there so I cleaned it myself.

We recently traveled with my husband's family for a wedding. They insisted we stay at the LaQuinta. Against my better judgement I agreed. It won't happen again. The location was good. The hotel was in need of upkeep, and just not somewhere I felt comfortable.

Pros: Pool area is nice and hotel rooms are not close to the street giving some privacy from street noise.
Cons: Customer service.
Location: Easy location to interstate. We could easily get to the mall and Baton Rouge campus in 10 minutes. Do not recommend Mexican restuarant next door.
We arrived for late check in and no one was at the desk. Waited approximately 15 minutes before we could be checked in. Our bathroom was not completely cleaned soap was left in the tub.

Not the greatest

1st room was supposed to me non smoking but room smelled like stale cigarettes. Bathroom light didn't work, couldn't get phone service or wifi to work had to go outside to get single. They moved our room because of no light in barroom. 2nd room smelled like pee and still couldn't get our phones to work and only got wifi if you where next to window. Daughter found a plastic fork under the sheets in her bed.

Don't waste your money, find another hotel!

The room was never cleaned, the tub was dirty!, even brought my own bleach, still didn't work but made me feel better, had to use air freshener, just a very bad experience, should have sleep in my car!

Bad attitudes and worse organization

Pros: bed was fairly comfortable if you like a firm mattress, convenient location/easy access to LSU & interstate
Cons: dirty, staff have bad attitudes, better organization
Location: close to LSU campus, nice restaurants nearby
I went to check in at 3:30 (posted check in time was 3pm),room wasn't ready, I came back around 4:30 room still was not ready, when I asked how much longer the desk clerk snapped that she didn't know and it would be "ready when its ready". She called someone from her cellphone while I was standing there who was supposedly a manager checking on rooms... After about 15 minutes another gentleman came out and handed me my keys. After parking and unloading the car I found "my room", unlocked the door and walked in on a man watching TV on the bed-- the room was occupied!!! Carrying all my luggage I walked back across the property to the office and when I walked in the lady at front desk rolled her eyes and disappeared into the "office". The man came back out and assigned me to a new room (NO apology was offered whatsoever). I walked back around all the buildings to find my new room with the door standing wide open and a pile of dirty linens piled on the bed. I found a room attendant and he came in to finish cleaning the room, he put dirty blankets back on one of the beds and I question the cleanliness of the second bed, but he did pull the sheets off his cart. He handed me a few clean towels and then left- not once stepping into the bathroom area. (I was sitting at the table in room). Breakfast was awful (frozen waffles, expired yogurt & moldy muffins). Will NOT return to this location.

Is an old Quinta smells a bit acceptable location normal Quinta sized roooms but old ones more or less breakfast
