Baton Rouge stopPosted Sep 3, 2013
My husband and I booked into Magnuson Hotel for its convenient location for us on order to attend a conference that was on for 4 days Your price was also in our budget The hotel room although older with its fittings was clean I was some what disappointed with the layout and selection for breakfast,a lot of pre-packaged options eg toast/cereal The reception staff could have been a little more client friendly and smile and perhaps a corporate style uniform would smarten the image Overall it was an average stay ,and I don't believe it fair that we be charged acid not show fee for our first night when we could not arrive on time due to transport difficulties Thank you for allowing me the time to comment

A get away from everyday lifePosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Honestly the laundry mat was decent, and so is the breakfast area.
Cons: The over all condition of the rooms. Dirty walls make the whole room feel dirty. New housekeepers or someone to keep a better eye out and inspect more
Location: It was nice that celebration station is across the street. Lots of restaurant choices.
Front desk clerk was not very welcoming. I dont think anyone inspects the rooms before selling them to customers. The bath tub was dirty. The room had no ice bucket, the floors were slimy and my socks turned black after a few hours. Pool could be cleaner. The corridors out side smelled like urine and the trash was always over flowing.

TerriblePosted Aug 20, 2013
Unclean, unfriendly, terrible service. They said breakfast was included but it was not, they have so many "conditions". Only 1 person per room could enjoy the free breakfast. They only allowed 2 towels per room. They did not clean the rooms.

Final review of 56 day stay for construction job.Posted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stay was ok. Early bird breakfast was really just a "laugh." Hotel is old Days Inn and needed more exterior appearance maintenance. Maid service was not spectacular. Hotel had problem with "theivery." Towels and rags went missing, so policy was set up by hotel to charge a fee to be able to get towels and rags for weekly stay guests. Chose to supply my own. Moved to a different hotel nearby with kitchenettes (full refrigerators) and towels and rags supplied weekly.

Served its purposePosted Aug 17, 2013
There was no phone in room, or remote for television, both were apparently stolen judging by reaction at front desk when I let them know, making sure I was not accused of taking them.

horrible and uncomfortable.....Posted Aug 12, 2013
Cons: everything needs improvement
my review is this was a very uncomfortable and low budget hotel that is over priced. It should be cheaper than it is rated for because it is very out dated and worn down. this is a hotel I would not recommend to anyone that I know.

Pleasant stay for the pricePosted Aug 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was a single overnight stay and all was good. The front desk lady was friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable. The only downside was that my room was directly across from a go-kart track which was quite noisy
