This place is a dump
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Bed linens and curtains without holes. Clean furniture. Better security measures from desk clerk. Functional pool, as advertised on website.
Location: Near Bass Pro Shop, antique district, and lots of shopping. Just off Interstate 12
The swimming pool was closed - in June! The bed linens had burn holes; the room-darkening curtains were full of holes. The upholstery on the chairs was badly stained. When we checked in, the desk clerk announced our room number out loud in the presence of other guests. The air conditioner worked, but it was very loud and gurgled all night. The hotel was the least expensive one available in Denham Springs, but I expect more for the amount we paid. At the least, I expect the security of not having my room number made public. We will never stay at this motel again.

Scary & Creepy
Posted Jan 4, 2013
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The lobby was clean.
Location: Great location
Read the reviews. Throw out the good ones and pay attention to the bad ones because they are the most accurate reviews. This place is not good, dirty rooms, poor AC, people sitting outside their rooms in the evenings and while they are watching your key probably will not work.....creepy & scary. Denham is a great town, just don't stay here.

Great for the traveler
Posted Jan 2, 2013
Pros: Price and quick on/off to interstate
Cons: tad noisy
Location: seemed safe and close to gas stations and food and interstate
I wouldnt want to have an extended stay there but for an overnight stay while traveling it was great. Pretty comfortable beds, clean, quick check in, great price. If you want more amenities for a longer stay look elsewhere but for a budgeted over night place I recommend this place.

Quiet and Enjoyable Stay.

My experience with Magnuson Hotel Denham Springs has been anything but consistent; but this is definitely one of the BETTER ONES. The Staff at the FRONT DESK on check-in and check-out was both courteous and efficient, despite having to juggle a mini-rush both times. The Room had been comfortable, spacious and Smell fresh. The Bathroom tub and tile were spotless with necessary toiletries. The Bed was comfortable and smooth. The room was full of amenities like television, Coffeemakers, Microwaves, Refrigerators, and Hairdryers. I was pleasure staying at Magnuson Hotel Denham Springs. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Disappointing
Posted Jan 30, 2013
Pros: Price
Cons: Cleaness
Location: Location was good
Looked as thought it hadn't been dusted in months. Carpet was dirty, bathroom corners were dirty. Refridgerator hadn't been defrosted in awhile and curtains had holes in them.

Quality hotel for a great price
Posted Jan 7, 2013
The hotel has easy access to I-12, without the noise of the freeway. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were pleasant and polite. The breakfast was lacking something, but there are other options within walking distance.

Great Stay for Great Price

The only bad thing I can say about the stay is that if you want breakfast, go early. We slept a little late, got there about 9:15 and there was nothing left. Good thing McDonald's is close. :) It's a great room for the price and convenient to the freeway. I would stay there again.

Accomodations OK, but a little road noisy
Posted Jan 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
The motel was fine, clean, safe - a good value for the money. The motel was fairly aged, but otherwise just fine. My only beef was that there was quite a bit of road noise outside my room. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper, so it didn't keep me up at night, but if you are a light sleeper, you might want to be wary. My room was on the road side of the motel, so the rooms on the other side might be better.

Hotel recently changed names and ownership - old signs still up. Rooms dirty and in desperate need or repainting. Breakfast - don't depend on what they have
