“Nice Clean Hotel In Baton Rouge”

Nice hotel for the price. Friendly. Coffee was GREAT. Remember it is NOT near the airport! i found that the hard way.

“Not bad except for 1 thing,,,,”

It was a nice stay, people there were friendly, complimentary breakfast could be better (but free after all so no complaints about that), our disappointment was the fact that the pool was very dirty and unusable, which we specifically looked for a hotel with a pool, other than that it was OK.

“I've seen better!”

Not recommended. Room smelled funny, was very small, and the bathroom was in disrepair. Staff was efficient, but not very friendly. I wouldn't stay there again.

“Only if you're desperate...”

This hotel was completely unimpressive. The staff was friendly enough but looked very unprofessional (I wasn't sure if the people behind the counter worked there or were other guests) and were only somewhat helpful. The complimentary breakfast consisted of plain bagels, plain cheerios, plain rice crispies, raisin bran and banana nut muffins, which were actually pretty good. They were out of both juices (apple and orange) both mornings we were there. The size of the room was ridiculous. I had never seen a room that small. It was barely big enough for a queen size bed. The pool looked decent from our window although we never got a chance walk over there. On the positive side, the location is excellent. It is directly off the interstate and across the street from Cracker Barrel (its within walking distance). Gas stations are also nearby. I've stayed in worse but have certainly stayed in better. Wouldn't stay here again if I had a choice.

“Disappointed”

I booked this hotel for my husband and friends, because it was close to the River Center for the USBC National tournament and it said Microtel Inn and Suites. When they pulled up, they sure called me to tell me it was old and not nice at all. The pics posted on expedia are not reality at all.

“STAY AWAY”

This hotel was not what it was supposed to be. To start with we booked a hotel room with a whirlpool tub. Upon check-in we were told there were no whirlpool tubs anywhere in the hotel. The front desk staff was completely rude. The room was very dirty, with trash on the floor and hair on our bed and table. We were awaken at 2:30 in the morning by someone banging on our neighbors door and when we called the front desk we received no assistance. Also there was a mini theme park next door whose lights shined in our room all night. I've never been one to complain but enough was enough. I've rented several rooms through expedia and have never been disappointed until now. Stay away from this hotel if you value cleanliness and comfort.

“HORRIBLE”

The hotel was so nasty!!!! Please do not go here! Had to go to wal mart and purchase 3 deodorizers and ozium spray. Traveled the entire country and this was the worst experience of all.

“Wouldn't return”

Booked this hotel because there was limited availability due to LSU home game. It smelled very badly and maintenance was seen spraying the halls with something like a deodorizer...which didn't help. Cleanliness of room was marginal. B'fast offerings were marginal.

“Stinky Feet Inn”

Our room was on the first floor, and the whole first floor smelled like stinky feet! Our room smelled even worse! It was the smell of mildew. The AC did not cool our room down and our toilet did not flush more than half the time. The continental breakfast was a joke with very very slim pickings. We had a choice of either cereal or a bagel. This was not like any other Microtel I have ever stayed at, and I was very disgusted and disappointed with my stay.

“Not impressed”

The room looked like it had not been cleaned. The bathroom was not cleaned well, hair in the corners of the room, dirty mirrors. The mat that goes in the tub was black with mildew. Something was spilled on the seat in the room. I had to clean that. The spread that goes on the bed was soiled. Someone needs to check these rooms better. I do not plan to stay in this motel in the future. I did tell the desk about the dirty room.
