“Gem in Baton Rouge”
I booked this last minute package deal to visit with my son at LSU. The Cook Hotel was convenient for meeting up with my son following his classes. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly! The hotel is set in a great area with a fantastic view & accessibility to the lake. The breakfast buffet was super! Being a southern girl, I truly enjoyed the grits and Community Coffee for breakfast! I spent four nights at the Cook Hotel and I plan to always stay here when visiting Baton Rouge. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay at the Cook Hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great hotel in Baton Rouge.
“Beautiful hotel ....”
The Cook Hotel was a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The trail around the lake was within a couple minutes walk. Loved the serenity of the walking trail, but it was busy enough to feel safe walking alone. The complimentary breakfast buffet was amazing . I'm usually not a breakfast eater, but it was impossible to resist the amazing spread. My only negative of the hotel was the extreme difficulty in going east from there. West was easy, however, to go east one had to loop around the lake and thru the neighborhood to find the east entrance to the freeway. I got lost every time (i didn't have a GPS - i know what was I thinking), but the joggers were extremely helpful in pointing me in the right direction. I would stay there again --- and remember to bring the GPS !

Having an LSU student made this choice for our stay very convenient. We were very satisfied with the upscale atmosphere and excellent service we received while there. The highlight was the fantastic complimentary breakfast which was exceptional the three days of our stay. Would certainly reccommend this lovely hotel.
“Perfect place to be to visit LSU”
We found the Cook Hotel through the LSU website and now will stay there every time we come to Baton Rouge. Location is perfect for any activity at LSU, rooms were very comfortable and exceedingly clean, and the breakfast buffet is unlike any you have had before. No plastic wrapped danishes here! The staff was polite, helpful and very friendly. Overall this is one of the best hotels I have ever visited!
