Older model but clean and a value
Granted this model hasn’t been updated in awhile and there is fairly much road noise, but service was really very good, especially room service. They got a good tip because they kept the room stocked up and spotless every day. I would stay here again.

Sorry that your did not enjoy your stay. Yes, we are a older hotel and are in the process of making changes. We do not have any maintenance notes of your informing the front desk about the showerhead. Our apologies, as we can not fix or replace issues if we are not made aware that they exist.

I was very disappointed with our stay at the Days Inn in Bay City. The hotel is run down and not well care for. Their breakfast options are limited and not very appetizing. We reserved a room there specifically for the pool but when we arrived, we were told it was closed due to the inclement weather but that if the weather cleared up, it would be reopened. We went down to Matagorda to fish at my brother in law's campsite. Around 8, I called the hotel to see if the pool had been reopened. I was told that it was. So my husband and I left Matagorda and went back to the hotel to get a little swimming in before bed. When we got back, the pool was locked even though it was just after 9. I walked over to the front desk to inquire about it and he walked out to the pool with me to check out the situation. He told me that "oh, they must not have unlocked it after the storm passed." I asked him to please unlock the gate because it still wasn't closing time. He told me that he didn't know where the key was kept. At this point, I reiterated that we were there for the pool and if we weren't going to be able to use the pool, maybe we should just change our reservations for the next day to one of the other local hotels with a pool. At that point, he tells me that he grew up in this town and this was the only hotel in Bay City with a pool. I showed him on the app there were others. Then he says, let me get the key. I don't like to be lied to. Either he has the key or not. Will not stay again.

Sorry, we did not meet your expectations. We offer a continental breakfast that is well within brand standards. As for the pool, we have no control over mother nature. When is rains, pool chemicals and levels need to be checked as well as adjusted if necessary. Before opening the pool to guests it must be cleaned and maintained. The front desk attendee did not know where the pool key was due to the fact that he was covering a shift for another worker. By 9pm, with only an hour left, it would not have been practical to call Maintenance to come back to the hotel after their shift had ended to maintain the pool for guest use. Thank you for your understanding.

The manager upgraded your reservation from a Queen to a King bed at no charge to you during your stay due to you booking the incorrect room required for your stay. However, we exceed our basic franchise regulations by serving several different options for our continental breakfast.

??? I'm not sure what your referring to, Here at Days Inn in Bay City Texas, we do not have throw pillows on our beds...just regular pillows. I believe you are reviewing the wrong Days Inn location.

Over all our stay at the days inn in Baycity TX, was pleasant. The hotel staff were helpfull and polite and wasted no time getting us in our room. The room was clean and very well kept with the exception of the bathroom!! No big deal realy it took only minutes to clean and judging by how clean the rest of the room was it was most likly a isolated incident just over looked by the maid services. I Would definitely recommend it to anyone who may be passing thru baycity!!!!!!!!
