Quaint, shore town, lovely bed and breakfastPosted Aug 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
Our one-night stay was very, very nice. Location to the beach was very good, a short walk. The beach was not very crowded and the weather was perfect. We couldn't bring food and drink (except water) onto the beach and that was a bit inconvenient, but the beach overall was a good place to hang for the day. Glenn was a perfect host and provided good info and a very hearty breakfast. Room wasn't overly large and it didn't have many modern conveniences (flat-screen), but we didn't expect that in a B&B. Second-floor porch was quiet and roomy and nice to sit to have an adult beverage or two and chat. Place isn't cheap, especially if you don't want to share a bathroom, but worth the money. Definitely recommend it and would go back.

Very nice B & BPosted Jul 23, 2011 on Hotels.com
Only stayed for the night but the Inn keeper went out of his way to make this a good stay, breakfast was very good as well and there is a very nice quite beach with-in a block. There was also plenty of info complete with menus on surrounding restaurants to help us make a good choice for dinner, very homey and quaint!

The Bentley Inn - Bay Head NJPosted Jul 13, 2011 on Hotels.com
Great location for accessing the beach. They supply beach chairs and bicycles. But only one umbrella was available when I was there and not too many people were even there at the time. Very quiet and relaxing inside the house. Nice rooms but the wrap around porch is facing the road and is very loud when outside. The noise is not loud in the room though. Nice choices for included breakfast. Note: Nothing except water bottles are allowed on the beach. But they will get warm because you cannot bring a cooler for them. Nothing no cooler no juice no snacks. All have to be left at the top of the stairs out in the hot sun. Just don't bring anything to the beach.

Wonderful HospitalityPosted Aug 4, 2009 on Hotels.com
We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our balcony patio, the breakfast was very delicious with many items to choose from and we liked having the beach chairs and cruiser bikes readily available. We will definitely stay here again.

Room For Improvement at this InnPosted Sep 15, 2008
My wife and I selected this B & B based on it's proximity to the beach, combined with our looking forward towards a comfortable room and a very special breakfast: PROS: The beach is just steps away. Beach badges are provided. Parking is ample, and on-site. Cafes for lunch are only a few minutes walk from the hotel. CONS: Noise from Rt.35, which fronts the hotel, was heard throughout the night. Our room had a private bath, yet the room was cramped, and the size of the shower was inadequate for an adult. The 13" TV was wall-mounted opposite the bed; not an enjoyable combination. Our toilet ran day and night. Both porches were uninviting. The quality of the breakfasts left something to be desired. the Inn-Keeper was only seen upon Check-In/Out. The bikes needed serious maintenance and/or replacement.

Nice place to stayPosted May 29, 2008
Overnight business accommodations in areas you would not normally stay in can be a pleasant way to explore these new areas and break the tedium of travel. This place is quite nice, and comfortable. The breakfast menu is varied and cooked and with care and respect. It is nearby Lakewood, and therefore enables one to get business done too and stay nearby the beach.
