We were in town for our daughter's engagement party. Casa del mar was a great break from all the festivities, with a great bar, good food and a superb location! The hotel is elegant and well run. The pool is refreshing and the wait staff there on the ball each time!

Visited Ocean View prior to renovation - and now after renovation. Stylish and extremely well done. View is the same, now enhanced by plantation shutters and room fittings. Joy in reception was welcoming and efficient.

Pros: great location, close to the Pier, great shopping, restaurants, friendly staff.
cons: $40 overnight parking. When we arrive at the hotel we were told they only offer $40 over night valet park. So plan to add this to your stay. Our room smelled like cigaretts. It was supposed to be non smoking room.

I had reviewed hotels in the Venice Santa Monica area for months and settled on Jamacia Bay Inn because of the reviews, price, and location. Everything was as advertised. The staff couldn't have been more helpful from the valets and front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping staff.
My flight from New York was canceled in the morning and I had to cancel my first nights reservation with only a twelve hour notice. The hotel did not charge me. Thank you Carlos!
The restaurant was very nice. They seemed to be short staffed in the morning but I was in no hurry. My usual server Melanie was the best! Although I only had breakfast there every morning and lunch once the food was fresh and consistently good every day.
A short walk to the beach every morning. My advice, rent the bike for a wonderful sunset ride up to Santa Monica. Awesome. Jamacia Bay I will be back

Life is a never-ending summer in LA’s Beach Cities. Redondo Beach and surfing are forever intertwined. On weekends, many Angelinos head to Santa Monica to relax in the ocean and hang out at the Third Street Promenade. The Getty Center, an art-world powerhouse, is nestled in the nearby hills north of Brentwood. Santa Monica’s neighbor, Malibu, is home to The Getty Villa and its antiquities.
