"Anniversary and family visit"
We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the grounds; beautiful flowers, trees, duck/fish ponds, etc. The location was great - exactly 1 block away from Pacific beach and a short walk to Crystal Pier. The pool was very nice and kept at a very pleasant temperature but the "snack bar" was not open - which if it had been, we would have enjoyed it even more. I was awesome to sit in a lounge chair on the bay side of the hotel. Beautiful view and a perfect walk way for a pleasure morning stroll. Only negatives that I could say was the cost of the parking; perhaps a break for visitors staying a week or more would be beneficial. Although the food was great, we found it a little pricing and went off site for most meals. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to return to this resort.

"Great hotel, great location"
We stayed 6 nights in this hotel for a family vacation with 2 young kids. We had a suite with a waterfront view and it was an absolutely beautiful view of the marina. The pool was great for both kids and adults and the water was heated. This hotel is in a great location especially for Seaworld and only a max 5 -10 minute drive to most other sights. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay at....with just a couple things to note: - there is a $29/night parking fee and there really is no other option for parking - there is also a resort fee on top of that parking fee - in the week the pool and waterslides are open in the day but the restaurant at the pool is only open in the evening.

"A taste of Paradise"
The hotel is a hidden gem! Loved the view and the private beach. My.only issue was a constant pounding that started at 7:30am daily and was pretty consistent ALL day long; very irritating!!!! I also DO NOT like the fact that we would have to walk up to the front desk in order to get any pool towels!!!!!

Where to stay in Beach Cities

Pocket Guide: Beach Cities, San Diego Spa Hotels

During warm weather, crowds pack the waters off Mission Beach and Pacific Beach, two of the most popular stretches of San Diego sand. These laidback locales are known to host the occasional farmer’s market or arts festival. Mission Boulevard connects both beaches and leads north to La Jolla.
