Cross Keys House and the owners were simply "Wow".Posted Sep 11, 2013
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Location: Buckam Fair is grand; get there early. Lyme Regis; a wonderful day trip. Broadwindsor Craft Center and Restaurant; fun shops, yummy food; cream tea!
My adult daughter and I visited England, expressly to attend the Buckam Fair in August. It was wonderful, but equally so was the amazing stay we had at the Cross Keys House with Robin, Liz and their bright little dog, Archie. It was more like being taken in by family than hosts of a B&B. The blue room was calming and quiet, sleep came easily and lingered until we would be awakened each day by the wonderful aromas of breakfast percolating from the kitchen below. Liz and Robin were "above and beyond" in their accommodation to our needs and concerns and in attending to our endless questions and chatter even when their day or evening was demanding. We met other guests with whom we became fast friends and just reveled in our stay. Finally, in the months leading up to our arrival, Robin so generously helped to guide me in making plans for our trip by plane, train and rental car; all of which enabled this otherwise novice traveler to plan what became the memory of a life time. I would go back again and again. Many thanks Robin and Liz, it was brilliant.

a little gem in DorsetPosted Jun 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Charming and helpful hosts. Beautiful area. A pity that there was nowhere to dine within walking distance.

A wonderful place to stay in the heart of DorsetPosted Aug 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
The Crosskeys House was a wonderful place to stay. It was perfectly located for day trips to Lyme Regis, Bath and Stonehenge. The local village is rural, scenic and peaceful and has a good pub. The rooms were clean, well decorated and very comfortable. Robin and Liz were wonderful hosts and were very helpful in providng directions to the places we wanted to go. Breakfasts were good and served prompty. The rates were reasonable. This was definitely one of the best places we stayed at during out trip to England. I highly recommend it and would stay there again.

The standards are excellent and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Real home from home and Archie was a bonus!
