The property is older, but that lends to its charm. The rooms were large and extremely clean! The area is quiet and we got a great nights sleep. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area!!

The room and price were right.
Family owned and operated with pride and super friendly staff. Our room was much larger than expected, clean, furnishings had been recently updated, and bed was very comfotable. Good value!

Good Place!
We only stayed one night and this place is fine. Its clean. It's quiet except for a barking dog. They have a cute mini golf and play lot.

Clean “Up-North” Michigan motel
This small family owned motel in Onekema exceeded our expectations. Friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms, and easy access to the area around it. Sometimes these independently owned property can be a little sketchy, but not this one. It’s not the Ritz by any means, but for the location, price, and a safe place to rest your head.

Amazing gem of a hotel.
Staff was all super friendly. We ended up checking in right at 10pm and there we were treated just as if we were there at 2pm. :) Cute little putt putt golf and mini playground for kids. Rooms are very spacious.

Excellent, it was more than adequate, it was very spacious, laid out nicely, had coffee, microwave, and frig. Large screen TV, lovely shower and comfortable beds. Easy to climb in and out of bed!

Very clean, quiet and safe. We had a wonderful stay there. Their ice machine was broken so we had to drive to town to purchase ice twice. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much!

Bed bugs
I had a 3 night stay, woke up the first night with a couple bug bites, then the second night I woke up with bites all over my back and arms. I believe there has been a bed bug infestation. I slept in my truck the final night, threw away all of my clothes I brought with me in the trash. Very very uncomfortable and scare that I end up with a infestation within my own home!

We take Bed Bugs very seriously and administer a thorough process ensuring regular checking, prevention, and treatment including regular inspection for such specimens.Upon speaking with this guest, we learned that there were other personal issues arising that resulted in the guest choosing to sleep in their car and in fact the roommate had no issues at all during the 3 day stay and remained in the room. Sadly, the guest neglected to inform anyone at the property of any issues during the lengthy stay, instead choosing to simply leave a disparaging review three days after their departure.The room in question was found to have no visible issues, no signs or markings, but we ensured the room was immediately taken offline and treated non the less. It is important that these situations are dealt with promptly, I assure all future guests we will continue to take great care in both inspection and treatment of our rooms as always.

Very clean and nice!
My family and I were in Bear Lake for a wedding. Our room was upgraded without us even asking and we were thrilled! The room was so clean and beautiful. I would absolutely stay there again.

Friendly staff and clean hotel.
The hotel is clean and bed is comfortable. The front desk lady is very friendly. The only issue is that we could not unlock the door to get out in the early morning of check out day. Had to take the screen out and climb out of a window. Still recommend the place. Just to check the lock before you lock the door.
