Pros: The location and attentiveness of the entire staff. They work hard to make sure you are taken care of.
Location: The downtown restaurants & shops are within walking distance. The view of the sound is very nice. Very peaceful.
Very comfortable. Well appointed and maintained. Enjoyed the afternoon wine and cheese with the host/owner and other guests. Could not have felt more welcome. Will return.

Everything about our stay at Cuthbert House Inn was lovely. The hospitality Wendy and her staff offered was exquisite and warm. Her recommendations for places to visit and eat were spot on with what we were looking for, (Old Bull Tavern for dinner was fabulous!). Our room (the Coastal Suite) and amenities were luxurious, the soaps, towels, linens, robes, etc. As far as location and views, this place is perfect! Wendy offers everything you could possibly need, right down to the aloe for your sunburn! Everything you would expect and more from a top rated b&b. We used the beach pass for Hunting Island. The wifi connection worked well, and never had an issue. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend this b&b.

The Inn was a lovely place to stay in Beaufort. We especially liked the social hour and breakfast overlooking the water. Also a very short walk to all the restaurants and shops.

B&B done right!Posted Apr 8, 2015 on Hotels
Charming historic home in Beaufort. It's lovely to sit in the brick terrace garden under the big tree with the fountain burbling away, and have a glass of wine or beer with the owners. The guests gather here, or in the huge parlor, or on the front porches and pleasant conversations ensue. We met lovely people there. The rooms are delightful, each different of course. I heard the breakfasts in the dining room with its floor to ceiling old windows is delicious, but alas we had to leave early each morning for Parris Island where our son was graduating from Marine Boot Camp.

Absolutely charming. What a find and being waterfront added all the more to lounging on the porches. Will return!

Lovely B&BPosted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Historical yet all the conveniences
Cons: Perhaps help with luggage up the steep stairs for the older folks.
Location: Perfect location for shops, restaurants and historical walks. Short drive to Paris Island and halfway between Charleston and Savannah.
Perhaps the nicest building in Beaufort, SC. Perfectly situated and well staffed. Breakfast was bountiful and excellent. Wine, appetizers and owner's conversation at 5 PM were a delight. I wouldn't change a thing nor would I look for anything more.
