Nice hotel in SE Texas

Pros: The room was nice and the central air worked well.
Cons: The TV picture could be improved.
Location: Restaurants are close by. The Edison museum was a pleasant surprise.
I was on a short 2 day vacation and needed a place to stay in the Beaumont area. The hotel fit my budget, the room was nice but the TV picture was a little below what I've become used to. The hotel is close to several nice restaurants (one is next door).

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was nice and clean. The only problem I had was with the pillows...instead of standard pillows they were more like decorative pillows, small and lumpy, and in my opinion, very uncomfortable.

On my recent stay there was a family in the room next to me with a young child that was yelling and they also kept the TV on all night. I finally called the front desk around 1 in the morning and asked them to get them to quiet down. The walls were too thin and I did not find it very nice.
