“A great, eco-friendly option near Mont St Michel”

We were warmly received by the proprietor. He walked us to our little cabin, gave us instructions on using the bikes and the riding paths (free), as well as made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were small, independent cabana style buildings. Picture a 1/2 quonset hut with a grass roof, Swedish foam mattresses, Ikea furniture, and energy saving fixtures (e.g., the bath heater turned off automatically). The walls are a smoothed plywood and very chic without having to decorate. Newer, fresh linens and decor. The outside was prairie style with many flowers, including a small garden in front of the full-glass window. Nice shades to keep out the light. It wasn't a room I would want to spend a lot of time in, but perfect for sleeping and staying with a small family. Two double beds worked perfectly for our family of 4 (kids 14 and 13). The bathroom was also modern with new fixtures and plenty of space. At first I thought it was a little weird with the sod roof, but it really felt comfortable, cozy and environmentally-friendly. The bike paths behind the hotel lead a mile or two directly to Mont St. Michel. Perfect for an evening visit back to the abbey for the light show. We ate at a nice restaurant about two blocks toward Mont St. Michel with a full panorama view of the Abbey. Beautiful setting and very peaceful.

“Psycho Hotel - Hannibal Lechter Owner”

This hotel was bizaar. Everything about it was weird especially the owner. Our room was a work in progress...partially painted walls, headboards and shelves cut out of plywood, no sink stopper, no central heat, no phone, no TV, no hair dryer, grass two feet high, ladders everywhere! It looked like 8th grade shop class was in session. Nothing matched just garage sale linens and sheets. Butterfly cutouts were pinned all over the walls. What was really creepy were horror movie pictures taped all over the hall walls depicitng murder scenes from Silence of the Lambs. We locked our doors and stacked our luggage against the door to make sure we weren't murdered during the night. Don't go to this horrible hotel. Expedia, how could you recommend this place?

“Rooms made of plywood”

Owner loves plywood (headboard desk, towel rack, and custom luggage rack). Owner was very friendly and breakfast was a good value at 9Euros.
