“A great little place in the middle of nowhere”

It is usually with fear and trepidation that one books a room "in the middle of nowhere," in this case, halfway between Zion National Park and Great Basin National Park. But we were very pleasantly surprised by a very nice property, well maintained, and fairly new. Highly recommend driving up the road a mile or two on a moonless night and gazing at the stars. The Great Basin has some of the darkest, clearest night skies in the country and it's like being in a planetarium.

Area recommendations

This is one of those towns that if you blink, you will miss it.

Must see

Be sure to check out the night sky a mile or two away from town. The Great Basin has some of the darkest, clearest skies in the country. Cedar Breaks National Monument is a hidden gem. It's a smaller version of Bryce Canyon without the crowds. Take the drive up to the top of Brian Head Peak (11,500 ft)while you're there. The last 3 miles is a gravel road, but easily drivable in a regular car. 200+ mile views all around.
