“No microwave, No housekeeping”
The room was small, but neat when we arrived. The location is very conveniently located near many restaurants, right off the hwy. Inside the room, our ironing board had no padding, just the cover, which made it difficult-- I had to use a towel. The bathroom was more spacious than expected since I felt I had no space in the bedroom area. The shower head is disgusting-- looks like it's about 50 years old with all sorts of discolorations that is probably rust.
We rushed out for an appointment the first morning and upon our 2:45pm return, the room was not cleaned-- When I went to ask when it would be done, I was told that they don't make the bed if you have any personal item on the bed (my infant's night clothes). However ridiculous that is, it still doesn't explain why the ironing board and towel were out, still a plastic bag on the floor from last night's dinner, empty styrofoam cups that couldn't fit in the trash can, my husband's stubble around the sink...the list goes on... That explains why there were hairs in the tub when we got there (They don't clean well!!!).
Also, they say they have a microwave in the rooms, but there is none! Very little drawer space. Of course, most people don't use drawer space, but I feel like I have to unpack now that I have a child whereas before I would live, happily, out of my suitcase on any trip.
The front desk staff is somewhat helpful and I was very surprised to see the homecooked quality of the breakfast foods.

The location is great and there are many other hotels and restaurants within walking distance! It's easy to find and right off the highway!

Tamarack! I'm not a person who likes to shop for antiques or craft items, but we had a suggestion to go the Tamarack for lunch. We decided to go. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! WOW! I'm a southern girl who knows great cooking and I am rarely impressed, but this FOOD WAS GREAT! Plus, afterwards, we were able to walk around and it's just the right size to walk around the entire place in about 30 minutes or less if you look around a little. The $18,000 table is a must see!
