GREAT PLACEPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: The atmosphere, the casualness, and the ambiance.
Cons: Someone at the front desk who can navigate people from the crazy business routes with 220 business south and Rte. 30. Send people to Richards street.
Location: Town was enjoyable. The candy shop and the Alpaca shop were amazing.
Overall, I would rate the hotel and staff a 4.5. My biggest annoyance was the GPS systems did not have the travel route correct. I called hotel staff a few times to navigate me from the center of town to the hotel. It took almost a half hour. Your website should warn travels to rely on a map. Yet, the three-day stay was extremely wonderful. We are planning to return, perhaps, in April. We enjoyed it immensely. I enjoyed it so much that I passed along my pictures and recommendation to friends. We are hope to get a group of people together for a spring vacation. I am excited to see how quickly I can shape the plans. Great job, Omni! The O'Connors

Old, but very updated hotelPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: People were helpful and new how to help first time guests with their questions.
The Bedford Springs Hotel is an awesome older hotel, but everything is up-to-date and well done. Rooms are very nice and well appointed. We enjoyed our one night at the hotel.

I just wish Bedford was closer to Chicago. If possible request the new wing when traveling with your family. The rooms are larger and are closer to the pool. The front desk staff is awesome. Keep in mind that Bedford is isolated, so if you are looking to get away from your busy life it is perfect, but if you are looking for more you may be disappointed.

I thought this place was merely so-so. There is some charm in the history of the place, and the outside grounds are well cared for, however the interior condition and the cleanliness leave something to be desired. The shower tile was beginning to mold/decay, the mattress was worn out. The food & service in the Crystal room was very good for dinner My wife enjoyed it, however thought is was merely "ok"

Very nice hotel with great ambiance. It's only flaw is that it could use another restaurant.

Historical AmbiancePosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very cool historical resort for history buffs. Nicely renovated. Great for a relaxing getaway. Firepit is a nice idea for a lazy gathering place. Minimal kids around which I liked. Indoor pool open 24/7 which we took advantage of for a late night swim. We enjoyed our weekend there, but thought it was overpriced. Meals and cocktails cost too much. Otherwise, highly recommended, but hit the ATM on the way.

Great getaway in the MountainsPosted Jul 11, 2013
Pros: Pool and facilities. Location with great mountains and quaint local town.
Cons: On site restaurants are a bit pricey.
Location: In the mountains, there is hiking, fly fishing, ATV riding, Segway riding, mineral springs, and antique shopping in town.
Like everything about this resort. Friendly staff and great facilities. You can take the planned tours or just hang out at the outdoor pool. Lots of history on display such as pictures and document about the hotel from the early 1800's. Great stay.

The Omni at Bedford Springs is a great hotel to get away for a weekend. The imagery is beautiful, the staff very courteous, and the Spa and Golf course first rate. The outdoor lawn and fire pit are welcoming at night and kids catching fireflies while the adults relax on Adirondack chairs is a great example of why this time capsule of a resort does so well. The only drawbacks are that the rooms are small, the outdoor pool can get crowded, and, if you have bad weather, there is not much else to do in the surrounding area of Bedford. Enjoy!
