Our experience at Bedford Spring was excellent. Food was great. Golf course was in excellent condition and fun to play. Only thing was their website was a little off on how long of a drive from Baltimore. It takes at least 3 hrs and not 2.

Great staff and outside activities

Disappointed in room. Sink was not working correctly. Sheets seemed damp. Temperature was too hot or too cold. No outlets in bathroom. Single sink and small tub. Fly in room when we arrived. Obnoxious trial lawyers group at pool. Very loud and inappropriate. Never experienced that at Bedford springs before. The golf course and hiking were great as usual!

Amazing spa!! Gorgeous Hotel!

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The spa! The spa! The spa!
Location: The nearby town is adorable with cute shoppes and cafe's
We went for a girls' weekend and it was the perfect choice! Beautiful pool, great service, spa atmosphere without being shushed. Cozy, comfortable, and gorgeous all at the same time. The grounds are to die for-- many places to walk and sit and look at beautiful mountains and perfectly manicured landscaping. Good food, great drinks. Can't wait to go back!

Left relaxed and rejuvenated!

What a wonderful stay we had! The staff is first rate when it comes to customer service. They were pleasant and genuinely helpful, from the valet to the engineering staff who switched our fridge when it stopped working. The hotel and grounds are spotless! The food at the Tavern and Crystal Room was exemplary. Going back next year for sure.

You Were Not Cheaper!

Pros: The hotel has porches off the rooms with rocking chairs, hiking trails, a nice tennis court, natural springs, beautiful d├ęcor and a great restaurant.
Cons: A few minor items that I will write to the hotel about.
Location: Falling Water is about one hour away to the west. The town of Bedford, which is only one mile away, has many antique stores, cafes and restaurants.
The Omni in Bedford, PA is beautiful and was relaxing. Everything was 1st class. I could have gotten the room for less by calling the hotel directly, than going through Expedia.

Hidden historical gem

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: Historical detail, comfort, staff helpfulness.
Never heard of Bedford Springs before but found it on the internet and glad I did. Lovingly restored resort with really interesting history. The staff were all so polite and friendly and took pride in the hotel. Enjoyed a weekend there. There are three restaurants on the premises, a steak house, a bar/tavern, and a dining room that services buffet and ala carte breakfast, lunch and upscale dinners. We had the breakfast buffet (very good), dinner in the dining room (I enjoyed mine very much although my husband said his chicken was so dry it was pretty unpleasant), and dinner in the tavern. On the whole, dining options are a little pricey, but nothing crazy (hey, we're from Philadelphia), and mostly good. I would recommend staying at the resort to eat because the town is small and there aren't many options.

Overall above average

Posted May 17, 2014
Pros: Hotel space, location, traditional European architecture with history of the building, lots of green meadows and beautiful golf course (for the golfer
Cons: Bathroom: The toilet plumbing was about to break, there were no door locks. Bedroom: Dine-in space and option, sofa couch -2 seater or longer
Location: Didn't spend much time in the area.
I had a late night check-in and departure early next morning due to an unplanned personal business obligation. So I cannot provide a realistic feedback on the overall experience with the resort. But a few things I can tell from the limited hours spent is that it's first glance onsite is somewhat mesmerizing. Some added functionality based furniture would make the rooms better. Such as only single sofa or chair doesn't suffice a family's relaxing sitting space. The dine-in space was way smaller than that of standard hotels with King Size rooms. TV and phone sets were really older models, from 1980's. Some prominent sign posting to guide first time-vistors/drivers at night is a must-do recommendation to the hotel management. My navigation took me straight to the loading dock and there weren't any sign postings or info board etc as which direction to follow to get to the front. There wasn't any sign posting on the main road toward the main resort/ hotel either.

This is a great place to just relax

Posted May 16, 2014
Pros: The history of the hotel and the many amenities.
Cons: The hotel itself could have another dining option.
Location: Beautiful natural area and many historic sites and attractions nearby, as well as many dining options nearby.
This was my third stay there in eleven months. Beautiful location and historic hotel in the Cumberland Valley. This hotel has a fabulous spa, an award winning golf course, thirty miles of hiking trails, a great fire pit in the evenings and the best beds I have ever slept on. The hotel staff in every department will bend over backward to make your stay enjoyable. This hotel is also only 25 miles from the Flight 93 National Memorial site and about 80 miles from the Gettysburg National Battlefield. It is located in the beautiful Allegeny Mountains and is also only about 90 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's famous Fallingwater. The whole area is rich in history and natural beauty. I would certainly stay there again as often as possible.
