For the price the room was fine. I didn't spend any time there except for to sleep. The cleaning staff did a good job. The Hotel staff were helpful.

Esquire Motel

Posted Apr 7, 2014
We ended up not in the Travelers but in one beside it owned by the same outfit........Esquire Motel. Having see tn the Travelers from the outside we were just as happy not to have to stay there, however the esquire was fine for an inexpensive motel. Rooms should have a coffee machine as there is no continental breakfast offered.

Fine place to stay, pricing was good, rooms were fine, service was great! Will be returning when in the area again. We actually stayed at The Esquire which is the "sister motel" next door, the Traveller was closed (for the season perhaps). The room we had was a 2 room suite, loved having not just two rooms but also 2 bathrooms. Having a fridge and microwave is quite handy as well as a diner directly across the street. The location is close enough to Halifax for convenience yet far enough to away to make it seem like a nice retreat!

The frontdesk staff were very helpful, in that they informed me off all the services the motel provided or were in the vicinity and they answered all questions I had. The cleaning staff were out of this world, and although due to the length of my (2 weeks) I did not require them to clean daily, they did enquire and they also refreshed all amenities daily.

Halifax Area, Nova Scotia

Posted Aug 11, 2013
Motel room was clean. Staff very nice, but it was situated only a few feet from the Bedford Highway and was very noisy as a result. The room was clean, but very damp, there was no A/C (just a fan); we had to keep the windows open all night due to moldy smell. Overall okay place to stay for one night.

Penny Pinchers

Pros: Check in time available late
Cons: SLOOOOOW interent
If saving 20 bucks is your goal then this place will do the job. It's clean, it's comfy but the the amenities are outdated. It's on the Halifax side and not too far away from downtown if you're driving. Internet is free but slow. Really choosing to stay here is all about saving your pennies and for that it succeeds
