“Excellent location,Warm welcome,Family friendly”
Excellent central location, room was a good size & that was despite having the double sofa bed pulled out for my daughter to sleep on. Didn't eat at the hotel, so unable to comment, but there are any number of restaurants to suit all tastes within a 5 minute walk due to the location. Swimming pool & changing areas were clean & well maintained.
2 small gripes, as mentioned elsewhere, the parking charge (not extortionate, but for heavens sake, just add it to the room rate!) & 1 of the arms on the sofa bed in room 424 was broken.
However, the reason this hotel stood out for me, was the lovely welcome they gave my little girl (aged 5). We stay in many hotels, most treat children with indifference at best! However, she was given a little goody bag on arrival, there were colouring pictures & pencils available, a list of attractions in the area which the hotel had compiled, a play room with a large screen TV showing childrens films (which due to our stay being only 1 night we didn't get to) & no restrictions as to when she could swim. All little touches, but the fact they paid this much attention to detail meant, in terms of family friendliness, it surpassed any other hotel we have stayed at in this country - many thanks, Laura & her mum
