Cheap but not cheerful.
I ought to say at the outset that the staff at this hotel were excellent. That being said, whilst it was very cheap, (I really had no option other than to stay here due to the coronavirus issue), everything else was disappointing. The hotel is very "tired" and tatty. I had what was called a "luxury" room. It wasn't. It was small, very dusty and there were greasy stains on the wall. The carpet was frayed and held together by gaffer tape. There was no plug in the sink and the towels had seen better days. The worst aspect was the noise however both from outside and especially inside the hotel.

Stay away
Extremely poor attitude of staff. Room booked by NHS for support eorking staff due to covid. Made to wait for 2 hours after a tiresome shift,eventually had to rebook as they were unable to sort and cancelled the first booking. So much for nationwide news about hotels supporting nhs. Requested tajeaway food to be delivered from reception which was agreed but failed. So was tired, could not sleep enough and left hungry, ready for the next shift in 6 hours. Phones dont work, so have to walk to reception even for simple queries. Poor and worned out fixtures. Not even a spoon to stir a cup of tea. I am surprised these places can still function in UK. 2 words, never ever.

Very dirty in the room, hair in bath and in bed, Bits of food on the floor, dirt up shower walls and over bathroom cabinet, Wet toilet roll. Shower had one setting of scalding, radiator broken so stuck on maximum temperature so the room was like a sauna It looked like the room had been repainted at one point but around some furniture and the tv - very odd. When walking down the corridor to the room there is a very obvious smell of sewage which the hotel is trying to mask with plug in air fresheners wi thOur success. I wouldn’t stay here again

Old property desperately needs a refurbishment- windows don’t fit the room properly so very noisy from the street. Rubbish in the hallway and dirt all up the walls. Glad I only stayed one night!

Stayed here for 1 night. The hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. Window is our room was a serious health and safety concern as it spanned from my knee height to almost the ceiling. When slid open, it did not have any rails. Being on the 2nd floor, that is an accident waiting to happen. Yes, it is a cheap hotel but I would not stay again.

Terrible service
Shocking hotel with shocking customer service, I booked and paid for in advance, when i turned up they said they have no rooms left and I should have had a phone call from OYO who run the hotel, well i didnt then i had a call from a person based in india saying they will try and find me a room somewhere else, well i waited 2 hours and at 9pm still no news. The reception said they cannot help me it has to be done through there partner company called OYO. Well after waiting a further hour i booked the local Travelodge, then I called hotel.com helpline who gave me a full refund. The hotel even had the cheek to say i hope this hasn't put you off staying again, well it totally has.

Disgusting state
I booked a 4 night stay but booked out after 2 nights room was very tired and filthy there was food or something worse on the wall and it was more like a room in a youth hostel. Do not stay here if you like clean.

The price was great the rooms and furnishings dated, the phone didn't work, the WiFi was appallingly slow. When wein a delux room I expect the phone to work, the toilet to flush ours didn't. The hot water was Luke warm, just a poor standard

Not too bad
The room was clean and presentable but there was no plug in the sink, which made shaving a pain in the morning. The wifi was really poor and the bedside lamp didn’t work. It’s always a shame when little things let the room down.

Grubby carpets, peeling paintwork, lumpy pillows, uncomfortably poor bed , dated decor. But for £32 for the night, in the location i needed, it served a purpose. n.b. Ramp up to the reception is treacherous in the rain.
