Unfortunately I chose this property as geographically convenient and for the opportunity to swim. The pool 'advertised' is not in the hotel but across 2 car parks (the hotel's and the sports centre) and does not belong to the hotel. I was told I needed to book a time slot. I tried for a Sunday early evening but the pool closed at 4:00 so I suggested 3:00 - no that was booked for families. Okay Monday morning at 7:00 (breakfast finishes at 9:00 in the hotel). I went to find the pool already had 5 people in it and there was a sign saying maximum 5 in the pool. I said I had booked but they shouted at me they were members and did not have to book a slot. I got in and a gentleman got out and I swam for 5 minutes feeling very upset. No towels provided. Luckily I took one with. The breakfast was appalling. Part buffet (limited but ok) and the cooked breakfast was the worst I have ever had. Undercooked greasy fried eggs and the rest was as bad or worse. Hotel to their credit accepted my complaints and gave me a reduction but my one night away did not leave me relaxed or happy. I would add that the room was not in the main building. Quite a long walk in, out and to reception and the restaurant. The room itself was comfy and pretty clean (apart from 2 clipped false nails found on the floor) but surprisingly too hot in the middle of a cold winter. On a ive note all staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful but the pool issue and breakfast 'chef' really need sorting.

I am disappointed to read of the challenges you faced during your stay regarding the leisure facilities. The health and leisure club is operated independently and we will share your disappointment in the manner you were spoken to with the management team. I am sorry you felt this made you feel upset. I will also follow up with our kitchen team regarding the quality of food that is set out in the mornings. It does come at a surprise as we typically receive positive feedback about our breakfast and the variety and quality we have to offer. I am pleased to see our team offered compensation to you for any shortcomings, and I do hope this does not deter you from a future visit to witness this is not typical of experience for our guests when visiting us. Could not get in gym for 3 days
Gym across the road and hotel only pay for a few memberships, so had to wait for over an hour in reception to get in the gym

Expensive food
Food was expensive and had I known what my wife was paying I wouldn’t give 12.5% service charge and £18 for three scoops ice cream over the top. Noisy inconsiderate people are not the fault of the hotel but signs put up might help

Hotel stay was good, room was clean and staff were friendly. Y-SPA was pretty expensive for a 20 min massage 10 mins was spent on prep so you only get a 10 min actual massage. Windows in the room were all blown double glazing meaning that noise and cold can come through easily. The hotel needs to rectify this as they are advertising themselves as eco friendly. Apart from this, the room was up to a modern standard and generally clean although we did notice a few minor issues.

Overall the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is expensive but delicious. The downside is that this is the 4th time I was given a disabled room. The bed is uncomfortable and mattress very soft. It feels like a waterbed. There was also no hot water in the shower.

Nothing special, OK is what I would say. It's also quite expensive. Food and drinks are also pricey. Black Americano was almost GBP 4. you pay under GBP3 in Central London... Food in the Brasserie was poor

Nice place but the towel rail didnt work and noone fixed it so the bathroom was cold especially not good when disabled, they did look but no resolution though there 2 days. The restaurant manager was quite abrupt. The food is excellent but the wine price list is wrong, it was rectified but not friendly. Hotel staff brilliant and helpful

1st time, no rush to come back
A well needed break, booked well in advance and meant for doing nothing. I had reached out to the hotel several weeks before our stay regarding access to the Y-Spa, as at the time of booking (i was looking for a spa hotel), i assumed that access to all facilities were incleded in the price. Once booked i received a messaged advising me that i would need to pay extra cor the spa, however email them.for availability which i did 4 times. With 1 week to go and no response i searched for an alternative email adress on linve and not the one which the original message was sent from. On receiving confirmation about spa availability, i was a little disappointed by the cost and that the options were am or pm, which meant paying twice if a whole day was wanted. The staff who we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The room, it was an ok size, clean and has the standard tea / coffee bits. The bed was comfy, however the temperature of the room was not easily controlled with what can only be described as the noisiest upright fan, surprised that their was no aircon, and with the evening temperatures lately this made the stay and overall experience disappointingly uncomfortable

Wonderful
Ample parking. Quiet secluded escape on a beautiful waterfront. Just walking through the front entrance with the smell of something pleasant was relaxing. The same high standard was kept thoughout. Spa was full, meeds to be booked in advance. Restaurant was scenic and spacious. The breakfast itself was adequate, but not mmmm. Would stay here again without hesitation.

Lovely relaxing stay although the room was like a sauna! The spa was lovely although we had to pay extra to use the spa which wasn't made clear until after I'd booked the room.

Lovely comfortable room, very clean, spa afternoon was great, it was booked separately. Didn’t use the restaurant as there wasn’t anything we liked on the menu. 1st morning got to breakfast at 8.30am and the cooed food was cold and I had to wait ages for my porridge, we learnt by that and went to breakfast at 7am the next day and everything was lovely, would stay there again if going that way.

The bedroom 205 was unbelievably hot throughout the night even with the fan on. It was 28-30C. Very uncomfortable night.

Room was lovely nice and clean and modern. Hotel clean. Good facilities. Only thing let it down was charged £45 for breakfast when was told it was £15 pp when I mentioned it to staff they didn’t offer refund. Just said help myself to free drinks which wasn’t no good as I had already purchased them

Good, would use again.
Very clean room, rather small but ok for one night stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. We did not use any of the leisure facilities so cannot comment. Ideal location for our requirement. Would use this hotel again..

Amazing place.
