Excellent Stay in Ascott Beijing HotelPosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: The location and its amenities.
Cons: Curtains should be cleaned up. It was dusty during our stay.
Location: The location is located in central district of beijing with 10 minutes walk to train station and lot of chinese food nearby including mcdonalds.
The front desk was very accomodating inspite of us arriving 3am in the morning. We get the 2 bedroom deluxe and it was worth the money we pay, the bed was excellent, the toilet was classy, the living room was great, the kitchen area was complete with amenities and even the dining area was better.

Great HotelPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great Hotel but there is hair in my room.... So that I did not feel comfortable walking with bare foot. But given the location and the hotel services, i will stay there again!

ascott hotelPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall it is fantastic. There were few unsual things and always you expect them in China. There were 4 of us in a 2 bedroo aprtment. There were only 2 bath robes and 2 free breakfasts. Not sue about the rationale. Only thing to complain is the travel agency. They sold us a private car to go to the great wall but a van with a guide turned up. She wated to sell us other things wich was annoying. We specified the times we need to be at great wall in writing but the guide said she need to come back 3 hours before. We refused to accept that and as a result had to wait for about an hour to be trasferred to another car. They apologised and provided free transport to the rail station as a good will which is good. I think Ascott Hotel need to have travel agents who are honest to keep its reputation.

Excellent HotelPosted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall i don't believe you can get a better deal on any room in Beijing like this. Room was large, very clean, nice bathrooms, Kitchen. Fitness Center is very good and the staff speak english well and are very attentive. I will only stay at the Ascott from this point forward when visiting Beijing.

Not a 5 star hotelPosted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: It is spacious.
Cons: The hotel needs a remodel. Staff needs better training so they can give guests more accurate information.
This is not a 5 star hotel. The carpet is old with cigarette burn marks in our "non smoking" room. There are cracks on the bath room wall. The hallway on the 12th floor smells terrible. We had to hold our breathe when we walk in the hallway. I would have rated the staff higher except one woman who gave us wrong info about Nan Luo Gu Xiang. She told us there was no subway station nearby that place. So we took a taxi there. When we were done around 8pm, it was raining and no taxi was willing to take us back to the Ascott! We were almost desperate until we turned around and saw a subway station (line 6) right there and found our way back. If she had told us there was a subway station right there, we would not have stood in the rain making the useless effort trying to wave down a taxi.

Difficult locationPosted Apr 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Old style hotel with large rooms. Out of the way location, address hard for taxi drivers to find. Also difficult to call a taxi from this location. Near subway though.

Convenient location, and spacious.Posted Apr 1, 2013
Cons: The service was poor as mentioned above.
Location: Location, close to silk market and subway
We stayed in 2 bedroom apartment. Very spacious and comfortable. The only complain when they tidy the bed, they did it so poorly, sort of just pull the cover otot of unmade bed and they didn't put instant coffee for the following dalam we had to ask al the times so ended up just buying odour own. The location is very convenient from the subway station and close to good restaurants and caffes. Within walking distance to the malls. We did the tour to forbidden city and temple of heaven by subway because it's close to the hotel. Also they advertise having shuttle bus going to Carrefour and Walmart but when we asked, the front desk don't seem to know about it then had to make phone calls and check finally told us not available.
