Good location but with drawbacks.Posted May 9, 2014
Pros: The beds were comfortable and the lounge area was pleasant.
Cons: Lots - see above.
Location: It is near the subway and bus-stops and convenient for many of the attractions. There was a decent restaurant by the entrance and shops nearby.
Having pre-booked, we were allocated a room overlooking a noisy and dusty building site. We asked for another and got one that was generally quiet with comfortable beds. We found nail-clippings (not ours!) and other things on the carpet/floor not only from day one but very occasionally till we left, which suggested it had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival perhaps not at any time during our stay. I did a test by leaving some small pieces of paper on the floor in an accessible place and they were still there after 48 hours. A bedside wall-lamp with a broken retaining screw was hanging at a marked angle when we arrived and it remained like that till we left. One wall was badly scuffed with very obvious black marks (possibly by a shoe or luggage) and the general decoration was poor, with peeling, and possibly damp, patches on the paintwork. We weren't sure we were getting clean towels each day as I used one bath-towel which had a hole in a very obvious place and, returning that evening, the replacement towel was similarly "holed", although dry. The towels were old and past their best. There was no bottled water as advertised. Finally, we booked an early-morning call on our last day as we had an early flight........we are still waiting for the call! Luckily, I had my alarm to wake us.

Very comfortable, good locationPosted Jan 8, 2014
It was a really elegant hotel with very cozy decor. Free wifi in the lobby. The hotel is directly opposite Chaoyangment subway station which is near to the airport express and the lines that connect to the city centre. Yet the location is not overly busy. The rooms were very comfortable and well furnished. Had a really pleasant stay. Staff were friendly as well!

Very inexpensive for what was provided - a quality hotel right across from the Metro and centrally located. Great restaurant and good service.

Convenient to Dongcheng and CBDPosted Oct 26, 2012 on Hotels.com
My room was in one of the "Side" buildings which was way "Behind" the main hotel...which was fine and quiet. Everyone friendly. Close to Dongcheng and CBD and has trolley buses running out front (for all you city transit fans). Subway Line Number 6 is being constructed under the trolley buses....will be super-convenient for going East / West from the hotel when it opens end of 2012. Already very easy to go North / South on Subway Line Number 2 using the closest Subway station, "Chaoyangmen". Be careful...the Hotels.com map shows this hotel on the South side of Chaoyangmen Inner Street...but it is actually on the North side of the street.
Don't stay in this placePosted Oct 15, 2012 on Hotels.com
The room was a very small room away, six buildings away from the main building sorrounded by some rundown residential buildings.

Close to the subwayPosted Oct 9, 2012
Pros: I did not have any favorite thing about this hotel.
Cons: I did not like not having WIFI in my room.
Location: Location was in a shady location. There was a local market across the street over the overpass and it was close to they subway.
The hotel was fine. Nothing great. No wifi in the hotel room. Only in the lobby. They did have a convienent store on site and the subway was only two blocks away. You could tell more Chinese people stayed at this hotel then foreigners.
Good locationPosted Aug 31, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel is centrally located with a 5 min. walk from the subway. The room was clean and the maid came in everyday to make the bed, change the towels and freshen the supplies. The hotel has its own restaurant. There is also a popular restaurant attached to the street side of the hotel. For the cost of a single room it was well worth the price. I would stay there again.
