“Shanda standard room.”

STANDARD room big enough with opening window . Check safe working & Bathroom not smelling.Breakfast ran out of tea & popular dishes.Good central location.Xianda name on outside.

“Stay at Shangda (Xianda) international Mar 2012”

This hotel is similar to a Motel 8 (in the US). The carpets were old & used. The bed, furniture, bathroom were clean. For the price, it was a good deal. The hotel is also located near a subway station (Cashikou) which helps quite a bit. I was able to get to the hotel from the aiport using only the sub-way & a 3/4 mile walk. It is also at a walkable distance from Dan Shi La (local market for shopping). The reception staff speak good english. However, housekeeping, room service don't. While it was a challenge to order fried rice with no pork, I leveraged an app on my mobile phone to help me out. The hotel also has a travel desk that sells packaged tours in & around Beijing. I refrained from using those as few things in the package (either shopping or attending an enterntainment show) were compulsory.
