A taste of old China with modern comfortsPosted May 27, 2015
Cons: Breakfast options. The continental part was alright, the Asian choices were not so good.
Location: It's in the heart of one of the hutongs which seems to be a destination in itself now. Bell and drum tower are 10mins walk away too
My bf and I stayed in Courtyard 7 for 4 nights. We arrived really late. The cab driver dropped us off a street that would lead to the hotel but I wasn't in the mood to get lost and approached a store owner who rang the hotel. The guy I asked was amazingly helpful as he walked us to the hotel which turned out was around 5mins walk away from where we were. Check in was a breeze and the looked so traditional that we love it! Turned out that Courtyard 7 is in a pretty good location! There's a metro station 5mins walk away. The hotel was tucked in a street that's quiet. However, a few steps away outside and you'll be transported to a street lined with shops with food place. The staff would write our destinations for the day in Chinese so locals could point us in the right direction. Bathroom was really spacious! Breakfast was alright. They served the same food for the whole duration of our stay. At least I was full. :) Still, we'd happily stay here the next time we visit Beijing!

Characterful hotelPosted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: It is very peaceful in the courtyard compared to the hustle and bustle of the street outside. Friendly and helpful staff.
Location: The hutong street outside is a tourist attraction in its own right with plenty of nice bars, coffee shops and restaurants.
Sympathetically converted from an old courtyard house. Modern facilities have been added without destroying the character.

Courtyard 7, BeijingPosted Apr 9, 2015
If you want a somewhat authentic experience while in Beijing, stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The reception staff spoke English and were excellent with directions. The room was comfortable and the bathroom modern. We did not have good luck with the Wifi on our iPhones. They did have public computers in the dining area but I don't use them. The choices for breakfast were varied so you didn't have to eat the same thing every morning. The location was good too. I would definitely recommend this place.

A great Hutong location with an even better staff.Posted Mar 28, 2015
This charming courtyard, very nicely renovated, was nicely and quietly located just down from a busy artery. Courtyard 7 features a nice western style breakfast buffet but the best feature was the very friendly helpful staff. They saw to it that we could navigate the subway, write Instructions for the cabby, and pinpoint destinations on a map.

Atmospheric courtyard in convenient locationPosted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: It felt like we were in an historic building and the Chinese decorations were beautiful.
Location: It is located in a bustling, attractive although somewhat touristy hutong. There was plenty of street food and restaurants nearby.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Courtyard 7. Being in a restored courtyard dwelling situated in a hutong it felt like the "local experience" while not forgoing any Western luxuries. The included breakfast was one of the most western we had in China. We felt the hotel was excellent value for money and we will plan to stay there next item we are in Beijing. We visited the Bell and Drum Towers which are only a 5 minute walk away and saw a drum performance. thoroughly recommended.

Weekend getawayPosted Jan 8, 2015 on Hotels.com
I stayed at Courtyard7 for two consecutive weekends. The location is absolutely perfect amongst teh Hutongs in the central Nanluoguxiang part of Beijing, with walking distance to a lot of the main tourist sites. Courtyard7 offers friendly and helpful staff, beautiful surroundings and a nice atmosphere.
