Close to the airport (about 80RMB by taxi)Posted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Near the airport
Cons: Reception desk, please don't ask the guest to sign to be your member.
Location: Near Yansha shopping, there are good restaurants such as Kunlun for Sichuan food and kempinski for Peking duck.
Only one reason of booking this hotel is because it's very near from the airport(80RMB by cab). So my husband booked this hotel for me use his membership, and when I checked in still couldn't get the free Internet(50RMB per hour or 100 each day)! Water temperature is too high, maybe 40+,couldn't take shower at all. Since I checked in at 9pm and early checked out at 5am,didn't bother to ask to change the room. When I checked out at early morning, they helped with the taxi arrangement which was very nice. About hotel facilities,I didn't try so couldn't tell much.

A generous 4 starsPosted Oct 5, 2013
I gave this hotel overall 4 stars only b/c there are great things about it that make up for the bad location (off a major highway with traffic, making the taxi vs. walking situation difficult at times). I had to stay here because I was working at nearby CAFA (very cool contemporary art university and museum), and also it is near 798 arts zone. Otherwise though, I would not recommend for tourists. There is a mall nearby, 15 min walk and some conveniences. The best thing about this hotel is the restaurant. Awesome selection of Chinese and western food, and plenty of it. The buffet breakfast and dinner were some of the best I've had in a hotel in Asia, or anywhere for that matter. Also the massage/pool/gym floor is EXCELLENT. Kind of a must if you are into that sort of thing. The downstairs lounge/bar is nice too and they have a pool table, foosball and darts, as well as couches and a huge TV. Friendly staff. Played pool with the restaurant chef. The rooms were nice, but not totally impressive. I had requested a nonsmoking room and they put me Iin a smoking room. After one night I had to switch b/c it was putrid. They accommodated though with no hassle at all and moved me to a higher room as well, as requested.

CleanPosted Sep 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed in this hotel as part of a girls trip to Beijing. The hotel is clean and very modern. When we checked in they only had a king bed for the 3 of us and wanted to give us a cot; the reason I booked this hotel over others was that I didn't want one of us to get stuck in a cot for a week. They upgraded us to a suite for the night. After 2 nights they requested we move to a regular room. When we moved the service became a problem. There were 3 of us in the room and we couldn't seem to get 3 coffee cups, 3 towels, or 3 waters. We were rising very early due to the time change and we couldn't seem to get the night staff to help us get another coffee cup. The hotel is a 14-20 RMB cab ride from the metro. Take the "c" exit to get back to the hotel.

An incredible stay! Most staff speak English!Posted Jun 19, 2013
Pros: Easy, straight shot, 5 minute bus ride to the subway station - the Airport Express meets at this hub. Indoor Pool! SUPER HELPFUL STAFF! Soft bed!
Cons: Nothing comes to mind!
Location: 5 minutes from the Subway by bus (many buses run right there) Starbucks to the East Jenny Wongs (western grocery) Pizza Hut to the North
This was probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Just walking through the doors, you could tell this was not a basic hotel. While checking in, the manager offered us some hot lemonade. (It's China - all drinks are served hot.) The room was obviously geared toward businessmen with the desk and office chair, but very nice nonetheless. We were excited to find the bed to be soft - something not very typical in China! We signed up for Marriott Rewards on the spot to get free access to the Internet in our room (wifi and wired). Remember that this is China, so some sites are blocked - they are very upfront about this as well when you login. Keep in mind the bathroom has windows by the king sized bed - very Chinese - and might be uncomfortable for some Westerners, especially families. The fitness floor has a gym, locker room with showers and saunas, and a heated indoor pool area with a 20 foot hot tub. Being from the US, I'm use to just walking into the pool area and jumping right in. It took us a moment to realize that I needed to talk to the people in the Fitness Floor Lobby to get a locker key, towel, and small bottle of water. Pool entrance is through the locker rooms. Make sure to avoid the in-room snack bar! WAY over priced, but rather expected. Starbucks is about a 15 minute walk to the east, and Pizza Hut & Coldstone Ice Cream is about a 20 minute walk up a block to the North as of Summer 2013. If you can get a good deal, it's WELL worth the stay.

Location: we did not have enough time in the city to reach recommendations
we stayed at the marriott for one night - we were looking for a hotel close to the airport. We had a wonderful stay - the room was excellent - big, spacious, very clean with all needed facilities including free wifi. the hotel staff was very helpful and went out of there way to help us with all our requests. spoke good english. The hotel is very close to major transportation services - so it was easy to get to different places. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the art exhibition center - it was great. found good local resteraunts in the arera

Excellent choicePosted Mar 12, 2009
The Marriott Beijing Northwest is an excellent choice. The price is comparable to a much lower quality hotel in the states while the quality is that of a standard stateside Marriott, not a Courtyard. The staff is very helpful. While it is located a bit far from the 'sites', the taxi service is excellent is fairly priced. Convienience to the airport is excellent.

Great HotelPosted Jan 21, 2009 on Hotels.com
The hotel is almost new, and it definitely deserves a 5 star. The staff very nice and helpful, the food was great, and overall it was very very clean. The only negative I can say about this hotel is its location, the taxi drives have hard time to find it and it is not very close to airport or city center, it is right in between.
