“Excellent Location”

The address on a secondary road that was not familiar to cab drivers - an intersection would be more beneficial but the location is within a few minutes from the subway, Forbidden Palace/Tienanmen Sq, restaurants and a nice park among other sights. The location is simply excellent with the small exception of it's hard to find for cab drivers, would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Very reasonable rate. Close to all major attractions. Breakfast was a great value. Subway is very close by. Overall an awsome value.

“Best Location, Location, Location!”

May Jiang, at the Front Desk was especially helpful. All staff were very nice, professional and efficient. Will definitely stay here again. No complaints at all. Location, especially for first timers to Beijing (this was my 4th) is absolutely fantastic. Beware the little store around the corner to the right on the main street. They will rip you off. There is a store about 80 meters down the main street to the left on the opposite side of the road. She is very nice and charges the proper amount for everything. A number of disreputable youth hanging around the neighborhood (one told me he wants to kill all Japanese people) acting nice to tourists but do not know exactly what their game is. Never got that far. Best thing is NOT to speak English at all - they will be confused and leave you alone. Works like a charm! TIP Go out the hotel to the right (not left to the main street) and then take the first left. You will come to a side entrance of the park near the Forbidden City. Just wander in and around and you will find yourself more or less by yourself - for a while, at least. Especially good early morning, late afternoons.

“Days Inn. A good value hotel”

We spend 6 enjoyable nights at Beijing in the midst of winter. It was a great joy for us at the end of each day to come back to a nice warm hotel and room. We had a basement room but that was no problem. The room looked newly furnished and everything appeared new. and clean The room even has a LCD TV with satelite TV. We love the central location. The palace museum is just next door. We found the subway a superb way to move around Beijing. The subway station is just 300 meters away. The hotel staff was very helpful and spoke good English. Although we could not speak any Mandarin, there seemed to be always someone who would go out of his way to help us get around. The only problem we had with our room was teh extremely hard beds.

“Greta Location”

Very good hotel. Rooms clean and well serviced. Helpful staff. Within easy walking distance to Metro, Forbidden City,Tiannamen. The only down side of this hotel was the very hard beds!

“Exceeded our expecations”

When we went for a walk we were very pleased to find that the gates to Forbidden City really were just around the corner. Also just a short walk to neighbouring hutongs and to shopping on Wangfujing Street. Strolling through the neaby bustling night market was a very interesting experience. Short walk to the very inexpensive, easy to use and efficient subway . The hotel's breakfast was an excellent buffet with a wide range of choice. Very happy we chose this hotel.

“Fabulous Location!!”

The best place to stay in Beijing if you are looking for a clean, comfortable and centrally located place to sleep. Fantastic location and the staff are very pleasant, eager to help.

“Location Can't be Beat!”

This was the third hotel we stayed in while in Beijing. I stayed here for two nights and chose this hotel because of the location and price. The other two hotels were for a tour we joined and the other because they offered a hotel pick-up. The hotel is basic but acceptable. I would choose this hotel again because of the price and location. You can walk to Forbidden City and and a busy shopping street with interesting things to eat and buy. The subway is also within walking distance. I felt very safe in this area as a female traveling with teen daughter.

“Would stay here again - good location”

Good hotel very convieniently located for tourists visiting 'must-see' sights in Beijing (Forbidden City, Tiannamen, Temple of Heaven) as well as for shopping. The buffet breakfast was a real bonus. Rooms were clean and comfortable, although fairly small. Staff were helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel for a Western-style oasis in Beijing.

“Great Location!”

Great location but maintenance of hotel has gone down since I was there 3 years ago. Beds are very hard! The location is great for culture and shopping.
