Nice hotel but problems with staff and organizatioPosted Aug 31, 2013
Pros: Room was nice
Cons: Staff. Next time we'll stay at Citic Hotel near airport. It charges US$30 more, but that will be made up by a good airport bus and well-informed staff
Location: There is a small supermarket next to hotel that charges twice what stores in Beijing charge.
Staff gave taxi driver terrible directions to hotel that cost us twice the usual rate. First airport bus leaves hotel at 9am, so most folks having to get to the airport early had to take taxis to the airport. The "black" taxis waiting at the hotel overcharge for the 10 minute trip. This is not explained in promotional material.

This hotel might be a difficult stay for those who don't speak Chinese. I speak enough to get by, but I can't read it. I ordered dinner with some difficulty in the smokey, noisy hotel restaurant. I went out for breakfast after asking where to eat in Chinese. Hotel staff is very friendly, though. Nice to have wifi in room, which is hard to find in China.

Ideal location of a hotel before departurePosted Oct 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was pleased to stay in this hotel since it is so close to the Beijing International Airport. The hotel's shuttle bus is fantastic and on time and it is free, it took me to the PEK international airport in less than 15 minutes. On the second floor of this hotel, there is a nice restaurant too and the food price is fair. Outside the hotel there is a convenient local grocery shop. Overall, I am happy to stay in this hotel and I recommend this hotel to others.

HOtel FX worked great for the one over night between flights. Never r eally went out to explore the neightborhood. The pick up and return to the airport was one of the main reason for choosing the hotel, however, if you arrive late at night the staff does not speak English and we had a difficult time communicating.

decent hotel VERY close to the airportPosted Jul 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
Great rate on a hotel a little over 2 miles from the airport. Not much in terms of a surrounding metro area, but there are two pretty good restaurants and an old school arcade next door to the hotel.

A lot better than expectedPosted May 15, 2012 on Hotels.com
Location was great - very close to Capital Airport, and hotel shuttle picked us up 10 minutes after we called them. (Went to Airport Information desk and asked them to call, since the hotel staff spoke virtually no English). Room was very good - clean, comfortable, good shower and facilities in room. Couple of Chinese restaurants close by, and lots of shops/boutiques and a supermarket about 10-15 minutes walk away. Room smelt of stale smoke (not so nice) and staff at reception were not friendly nor very helpful. Range of TV channels for English-speakers is poor - just 1 channel (CCTV9) in English, plus 50 Chinese language channels! But other than that, very happy with the hotel and stay, and would recommend it again. Free shuttle both directions worked very well.
