“Very Nice Hotel”

For a 3 star hotel, the service we received was excellent, the staff helped us a lot by translating and writing down places which we wanted to visit and made sure that we had safe passage to all the places we wanted to go. I felt that that the location of the hotel was excellent to get to local places to visit such as Tianeman Square & the Forbidden City. The rooms were kept clean and the staff made sure we had clean sheets and towels everyday. However a wider range of English newspapers should be on offer as there was only a couple of copies and if they had been taken there is nothing to read in the evening and 2 of the English speaking channels (3) were only working for 3 days of a 12 day trip, therefore I could not watch anything!, but that is the only real critisum that I have.

“good price, nice accommodations for a westerner, convenient location, felt safe”

Generally, I like value hotels, but expect cleanliness, safety and convenience. For Beijing, this hotel fit the bill. The cleanliness was equal to a 3.5-4 star hotel. The room was comfortable and reasonably quiet. this area was very near the train station, but I felt it was very safe. There are some fast food restaurants and grocery stores within 2 blocks walking distance. Also, the bus stop terminal is also conveniently located next to the train station. If you come/go to airport, expect about 45-60 minute trip. you can walk from bus to hotel with your rolling suitcase. No problem. Also, the metro subway is 1 block away. the staff speaks English and they have a nice business center. Business center use costs money, but the hotel price is very good for what you get. I took a greyline tour, and the tour bus stopped at motel to pickup/drop-off. The hotel also has an attached restaurant, but I did not try that. It looked pretty nice though.

Staff is excellent, They speak many languages. Not noise close to all transportation and all the sights to see in beijing.

“Great location”

We loved this place. It is certainly not new and the beds are not very soft, but it was clean and the staff at the front desk were able to speak English. They were very helpful. What we liked the best about is that it is pretty much across the street from the Beijing Train Station and very close to subway stations, making it very central and easy to get around. We even took the subway back to the airport. We were in China for 6 weeks and stayed at this place 3 times. It is excellent value if you are like us and not planning on spending all day in your hotel room.

A nice clean hotel,with helpful staff, and centrally situated. The restaurant is quite good and not overpriced.

“perfect location”

My time spent in the Harmony Hotel was wonderful. I loved the location of the hotel, Just round the corner from our hotel was the Train station and the underground. There were also shopping malls and the post office. McDonalds and other western type restaurants all close by. The hotel was much nicer then I thought it was going to be and the room was comfortable and cleaned every single day. We had breakfast in the hotel and it was not expensive. It was also a buffet style breakfast with the same type foods you would expect in any hotel.When I go back to Beijing in the future I will be staying at this hotel as I found it great for getting around. We used the underground and private tours which were very good value. We walked back from Tiananmen Square to the hotel and it took us 20 minutes. There is internet on the second floor and you can use very good computers at very low prices. I really enjoyed my stay at the Harmony Hotel

“First time”

My second time in Beijing and my first time at this hotel.Set back off the main road this hotel is situated close to Tianamen square a 20 minute walk away.What suprised me about this hotel was that it was situated across the road from the airport bus stop,so no need for taxi.I just crossed the road.

“Everything i expected, no surprises”

Located close to 2 subway stations. Front desk is helpful. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly daily. Breakfast buffet was good however overpriced. Elevators, hallways and lobby were clean. The small convenience store that's just across the street is perfect for bottled water, bottles of beer, and snacks. Very convenient. Beyond all of this, the place is no frills and perfect for the traveler that wants a nice place that's conveniently located to sleep and clean up before heading out for the day.
