Disappointment within a minute of arrival

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness.
Cons: Customer service and half a brain to realize that 3 adults cannot sleep on one queen bed.
Location: It became obvious that the location is not desirable. The taxi drivers and tour guides all commented that the location was too inconvenient.
My reservation was for my two grown daughters and me--3 adults. When I arrived, the receptionist told me that she had a room for me with one queen bed. When I asked if she had a room with two queens, she very snidely told me no, that that was not a 4-star hotel. Being exhausted from the trip and not wanting problems in China, I had to bite my tongue. This receptionist acted as if she was doing me a huge favor by giving me a room with a queen bed and such a very lumpy and uncomfortable sofa bed that we took turns sleeping on it.

Nice hotel near where I wanted to be.

I had an enjoyable stay. I would have preferred foam pillows but otherwise everything was fine.

Pros: Including breakfast and a lot of choices from Western to Eastern menu.
Cons: Fix minor facilities such exhaust fan, light etx that do not work properly.
Location: It is located in between airport and CBD. Very close to two shopping malls and the bank just next to it.
Very quite and good room cleaner everyday. Very nice services from the hotell staff. Only the receptionist / front desk that understand the English. Alot of business people stay on this hotel. Very good price..

too far from everything

Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: nothing
Location: There is a shopping mall across from the hotel - the only entertainment in the area.
this hotel is too far from the center and the metro, very difficult to find. The rooms are dated and small, the a/c is non-existent, bathrooms mouldy, ripped drapes, ripped towels.

Good location, friendly staff

Posted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was nice to stay in. Lots of shopping near by, the staff were friendly and helpful, and overall it was good. The rooms are average sized, clean, and the air conditioning works well, though it is very loud. The hotel would do better if they improved the breakfast and meals though, after the first day, we went out for each meal.

Good location, smelly room

Posted Jul 17, 2013
There are lots of shopping and good restaurant nearby. The room is smaller than those in other Holiday Inns. The air ventilation is bad so the room smells.

Not so bad,but need a carpet and the wall cleaning

Posted Jul 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was ok, but smoking has to go. I know it is in China, but this is Holiday Inn!? Carpet and the wall need to be cleaned. That will make this place a lot better.

staff was nice, but room was disappointing

Posted Jun 22, 2013
Pros: My room was disappointing, but the others might be fine. Lots of other western people were there.
Cons: Better housekeeping.
Location: The hotel was near a shopping strip & a lot of western food establishments (McD's, KFC, Pizza Hut).
The staff was super friendly, spoke English well, and the breakfast was great! Only disappointing thing was room was a bit dirty & small. It's located halfway between airport & central Beijing- it's about $10 cab ride from the airport & about $8 to central Beijing.
