Excellent

Excellent location and services. Only drawback is that the non-smoking room still has a smell of smoke. I wonder if it's due to the central air conditioning.

Decent Hotel, Not What I Expected

Posted Jul 8, 2014
The room was very clean but very small. It was advertised the room would have a bathtub but there was none. Soundproof rooms (or just no one else around) gave a true sense of comfort. No refrigerator. Light switches were confusing. A great room but could be better.

Perfect... Almost

The Kunlun is a very well situated 'Chinese' hotel in which the clientelle is predominantly Chinese. It is well-run and super efficient - with an abundance of helpful staff to answer every need you may have. The quality of the english spoken at the hotel leaves a lot to be desired - but there was always one of the waitresses or one of the frint desk staff that had an adequate command of english to make things run smoothly. We were upgraded to better rooms the last time we were at the Kunlun and the rooms were lavishly appointed and very impressive. The food in the breakfast room is abundant and very varied with plenty of choice for both the western visitor and the more numerous Chinese guests... but the Kunlun's one great drawback is the presence of cigarette smoke - everywhere with the hotel management seemingly indifferent to deterring their clientelle from smoking in the public areas. Hence breakfast (for us) was spoiled on more than one occasion by smokers nearby chain-smoking through their meal. The elevators smelled of smoke as does the lobby and the public restrooms. This seemed to be of no concern to the Chinese at the hotel and perhaps - despite the obligatory warning signs posted in the public spaces - they were totally ignored without management interceding. However, if smoking isn't something that bothers you, the Kunlun is an otherwise well-run and well-situated hotel that has much to recommend it.

Top Notch Hotel in Convenient Location for Busines

Posted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: Quality in all areas was high.
Location: Close to subway. Mall with different food options across the street.
Hotel has always been nice but recent renovations only improving things. Room was first class. Staff professional and friendly. Location convenient for business although farther away from tourist attractions. Very good for meeting business customers. One nit pick -- ventilation in the 2nd floor coffee lounge not great and a lot of smokers there.
