Location convenient to Wangfujing Street

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: The location is near a touristy area so there's lots of restaurants and shops and you can be out fairly late and still feel safe.
Cons: Gym needs to provide more towels and cleaners for self service or be more attentive to cleaning the machines.
Location: It's about 10 minutes to walk to the metro - not too bad unless if you don't like walking in the sometimes hot weather.
Check in was relatively easy and quick. Staff speaks enough English to get by which is helpful. The room (ours was two bedroom) was spacious with three televisions, two bathrooms and a complete set of kitchen appliances. It's still somewhat on the Chinese end of the spectrum in that the fit and finish of the rooms is below average and was slightly annoying when drawers and closets cannot be opened and closed without a fight. Air conditioning an hot water were good. The gym has enough basic equipment for a decent workout.

City Centre location

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Probably the best hotel I have stayed in. The rooms are spacious, clean, well laid out and the facilities provided are excellent. Nice gym, hot pool and swimming pool as well. The location cannot be beaten - 2 minutes from all the major shopping outlets and a 30-40 minute walk to the Forbidden City & Tianeman Square. There is a tube station round the corner - use it !!! Its really cheap and trains run every few minutes. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Well situated hotel for our visit to Beijing

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Beijing is mad! 23million people will do that to a city. That said, other than the smog the part of the city we stayed was very clean. Public toilets not so much but that's more a culture thing I'm picking. I found getting round mostly easy once you got the commuincation going. I wouldn't pick Beijing as a place to relax. Food and drink were cheap enough.

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros:
Location:

Amazing Hotel

Posted Jun 2, 2015
This hotel is amazing from bottom to top. Our party stayed in different rooms so I could compare. The rooms seem larger the higher you go in the hotel. 8th floor was a very reasonable size. Floor 12 was like two rooms joined together. Literately too much space to fill. The quality of the furniture was fantastic. Far from the Ikea like. The hotel was well insulated so you could not even hear the kids in the school behind. Overall, a fantastic hotel in the most central spot you can get. Internet. So many people complain about the Internet. As an Internet engineer, I can tell you this is not down to the hotel themselves. In fact, each room has it's own dedicated wifi hotspot. The Internet perception is due to China's infrastructure and preference service. If like me you Google all the time, you will find Internet annoyingly slow or even not functional at times. However, change to Yahoo as an example and you will see a massive speed increase. This is because China traffic manage their Internet and companies like Google who have made crude remarks about China in the past get a tiny proportion of the bandwidth. Others are full speed or as full as China's 1 billion people can get. Don't expect Facebook, WhatsApp or many others to work at all also. They are either blocked or traffic managed so that not a single byte will reach your computer. So this hotel is like if not better than other hotels for Internet as you have your own dedicated access point. Thank you Lee Garden.

Good location

The hotel caused untold complications by not answering the telephone for thirty minutes. Finding the hotel using an airport taxi made the event a journey from hell. And expensive.

Great hotel close to local amenities

Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: Located in a very convenient part is of the city
Cons: The kitchen cupboards need to be stocked with plates and cutlery
Location: Wangfujing is very close by and is a must. The local shopping centre has a wide selection of eating restaurants on the top floor.
Fantastic location and extremely helpful staff. The rooms are to a very high standard. If you are taking a taxi around the city be prepared for lengthy delays otherwise the nearest metro link is about a 10 minute walk away. If you are visiting the Great Wall consider getting to the train station early as the tickets sell out fast. We arrived at 9-00 and had to wait 2 hours to buy tickets for the 12-30 train.

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros:
Location:
