We spent 4 nights in the hotel in a 2bedroom suite. It was very comfortable - the size if an appartment! It even had a washer/dryer in the room! Staff were very helpful. We were surprised at how much English was understood. The location was awesome - beside the market, a block from the subway, at the beginning of the pedestrian only shopping area, and walking distance to T. Square, forbidden city, We would recommend this hotel.

This hotel was very well received with our whole family. We have 4 children and the hotel was perfect for them as well as the adults. It might be a bit far from some tourist activities, and there wasn't great evening entertainment, but we were so tired from our days out it didn't matter. There also isn't a hotel pharmacy, but most hotels didn't seem to have that.

Upgraded to the Executive suite and it was the best decision we could have made. Lovely room, the staff were fantastic. They arranged a cake and all signed a card as it was my Birthday during our stay. Beijing is a great place to visit with loads to do and see but it was nice to come back to the Marriott after a day od sightseeing and fun and relax in the best Marriott I have stayed in.

The only minor complaint I would have about this hotel is finding it! They do not have a map on the web site anywhere, and no one in Beijing knows where 'Financial Street' is because they only know it by the Chinese name (Jirung or something?) If I didn't have the phone # of the hotel with me, I may not have ever found it! Also its about a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway. The hotel itself was great, everything you would expect from a Ritz-Carlton hotel - great service, great room, excellent restaurants and facilities.

I stayed five nights in this hotel. My stay was very enjoyable. The room I stayed in (on the 12th floor) was spacious and included many extra amenities such as a TV in the bathroom, a drawer with office supplies (scissors, paper clips, daily newspapers on the floor, etc), curtains that open and close with a remote, etc. The bedding is of a high quality and very comfortable. The room was nicely furnished and decorated. It was very clean, with a maid service twice a day. The staff speaks good English, is extremely helpful and truly service-oriented. You feel pampered at this hotel. The hotel is not in a walking distance to most attractions. However, this is not an issue since it is 2 minutes walk from a metro station. The metro system is very efficient, punctual, safe, clean and reaches every important location in the city. Further, for about $2-3 taxi fare you can get to most attractions. There is a Starbucks and a couple of good restaurnats in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, if you want to avoid the hotel's pricey restaurant. The only complaint that I have is that they charge extra for internet connection. Overall, I warmly recommend this hotel and plan to stay there in my next trip to Beijing.

This was probably one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Just walking through the doors, you could tell this was not a basic hotel. While checking in, the manager offered us some hot lemonade. (It's China - all drinks are served hot.)
The room was obviously geared toward businessmen with the desk and office chair, but very nice nonetheless. We were excited to find the bed to be soft - something not very typical in China! We signed up for Marriott Rewards on the spot to get free access to the Internet in our room (wifi and wired). Remember that this is China, so some sites are blocked - they are very upfront about this as well when you login. Keep in mind the bathroom has windows by the king sized bed - very Chinese - and might be uncomfortable for some Westerners, especially families.
The fitness floor has a gym, locker room with showers and saunas, and a heated indoor pool area with a 20 foot hot tub. Being from the US, I'm use to just walking into the pool area and jumping right in. It took us a moment to realize that I needed to talk to the people in the Fitness Floor Lobby to get a locker key, towel, and small bottle of water. Pool entrance is through the locker rooms.
Make sure to avoid the in-room snack bar! WAY over priced, but rather expected. Starbucks is about a 15 minute walk to the east, and Pizza Hut & Coldstone Ice Cream is about a 20 minute walk up a block to the North as of Summer 2013.
If you can get a good deal, it's WELL worth the stay.

As a Marriott hotel, the room was really nice with lots of rooms. It was very quiet although there is a school next to it. However, I did not the following:
1. When I entered the room the A/C was off and the room was hot (not a big issue)
2. The window was open that allow dust to get in (not a big issue)
3. The facility is great but it needs to be maintained properly. Especially inside the bathrooms
4. Breakfast is basic
In general; I would recommed this Hotel

This hotel is along side Wangfujing Business District. It means shops, restauranats, subway stations, hutongs are very much like a walking distance. We really enjoyed the hotel mainly because of the reason and also the staffs are very kind. I will recomend this hotel to my friends if they want to go to Beijing.
