“Satisfied with Novotel Beijing Peace”

The location of the hotel is good, walking distance to the main shopping street Wangfujing. The Forbidden city entrance is reachable on foot within about 35 minutes. The breakfast buffet was quite rich with both Western and Eastern breakfast menu. The only point we were not satisfied was that they did not change the linens in our room during our 1 week stay. They also did not have a toilet brush in the toilet.

Tiananmen, Forbidden city, Great Wall.

Shopping

China is a shoppers paradise but you have to be very careful. There is a lot of haggling. You have to bargain agressively. The most of the salesmen are not reliable, they lie a lot. Be careful when you pay they might say that you did not pay. There is also a lot of counterfeit money, fake products around. So be careful, be careful, be careful. Shopping in China is tiresome.

“Wonderful Beds”

This hotel is in a good location and has wonderful soft beds - rare in China. Ask for rooms in the new building. You have to stand in the lobby to use the 2 computers available for the entire hotel, so you often have to wait. If these computers are down, they will offer you use of the computers in the business center (much faster than the ones in the lobby) but you will be charged per minute. I think if they advertise free computer use, they should provide it. Overall a very nice hotel.

“Great hotel, Great Location”

The Hotel has a GREAT LOCATION is walking distance to the Forbiden City, the Wangfujin street, some beutiful Hutons, 4 blocks to the subway station an Tianamen Square. The staff is very helpfull and speaks good english. My breakfast was included and it was great. The only thing is that the rooms located in the old section smells a little bit damp. The new section is is booked for expensive rooms so is very probable that you will get a room in the od section but is not really bad. Other than that is a great place to stay.

“A hotel with two faces”

This hotel is in a good location - walking distance to some of the sights. But the hotel has an old wing and a new part. The old wing is closer to a 3 star and my room stunk. Asked to be moved the next day, and was told there were no doubles left.. After I said that wasn't good enough they found another. Which was good and what you expected. The only complaint was the breakfast as average - hot food not hot, and poor quality. The hot chocolate was awful - instant mix.

“Fine hotel in Beijing, very good location.”

Novotel Beijing Peace is in a very good location. Right across is the Peninsula with high end boutiques.Walking distance are 2 big malls and the popular shopping street. Hotel was not very clean, as in the carpet under the bed was dusty, dropped something under the bed and was surprised to see how much dust accumulated under the bed, like it hasn't been cleaned for a long time. Breakfast was good. Good thing our booking comes with free breakfast, kids stay and eat free too. Generally a very good deal to me! I'd stay here next time I visit Beijing.

“Great breakfast”

Overall had a good experience. Few complaints. Price was good, but we were in the older part of the hotel. We just happened to be next door to some heavy smokers, common in china, so we got a good amount of smoke in our room. the breakfast was delicious with extensive choices. convenient location to the subway and wafujing street.
