GOOD HOTEL AT A CONVENIENT LOCATION
Enjoyed my stay and the location - next to the Sanyuanchao subway station - is very convenient. One thing that requires improvement, however, is the condition of the men's locker room on floor -1. The sauna and steam bath are a very welcome amenity, which I appreciate. However, the sauna is not operating correctly and the cleanliness of the steam bath and shower stalls needs to be improved.

Great Location but that is were it all ends
The location of the hotel is great. Thats where it all stops the room was so dirty. There was so much mold in the shower my allergies ended up acting up and it caused me to get sick. The bed was so hard. We were basically sleeping on a box spring. The coffee cups had chips out of them and were never changed out. There was a cracked tile in the bathroom that was sharp you could cut your toes on. The closet had wood that was falling apart.

This hotel seems to be converted from a crowded apt building. Very low ceilings with dusty tiny window. The temperature control doesn't work. It is hot and very dry in the room but there was nothing I could do. Very uncomfortable to sleep in. Fortunately I only stayed for 1 night. This is the worst Novotel I have ever stayed. Will think it twice before booking another Novotel!

Adequate for a business stay
Great location just outside airport express station and a nice nearby shopping complex. It has got a gym and a small unheated pool. The cleaning lady was friendly and efficient. Adequate for a business stay. But the attitude of the checkin receptionists was less than desirable.

The hotel is very well located with a subway station and also to the airport train just in front of the hotel’s door. The staff is very kind and helpful and one more good tip about this location, just one block away on the out side of a shopping mall is a very good informal restaurant with excellent western food the place name is Wagas. The hotel in general is a good sleep option in Beijing.

the staff here don't speak English and EVERYTHING seems a chore. from ice to taxis...we seem to be interrupting them surfing the web! the pool is freezing cold and the sauna almost unusable due to the fact that they use the toilet to smoke. the aircon doesn't wasn't working for the whole week.

This hotel is 30m from exit D of SanYuanQiao underground station which in turn is 1 stop from the Beijing airport. Staff are occasionally grumpy with patchy english. Breakfast was slighly expensive at 100 RMB (though comprehensive) so we used the local Wagas 200m away. The local Element Fresh (220m next to Wagas) is also very good for lunch/dinner though a touch expensive

Conveniently located adjacent to an Airport Express stop, but the hotel is spartan, the shower is hard to negotiate for any over 20, and front desk staff are sometimes rude and less than helpful.

It's the little things. The check-in was slow. There's nobody to help you. The bar closes at 10pm, but they start hounding you from 9.45. It's nothing like other Novotels I have stayed at. It is really catering to a Chinese market, and foreigners have to fit in.

Excellent location. Hotel’s main entrance is facing D exit of the Airport Express. Just one stop from hotel to Terminal 3. Hotel also only 2 minutes away from the nearest shopping mall. Therefore, location wise is great. Lobby area ok. Standard staff service. Reasonable size room. Great pressure & temperature for the shower but shower door not sealed properly. Thus, would flood the toilet easily. Tiny TV and remote control not working. Carpet could do with a good clean.

Convenient location
The hotel located just less than 2 mins walk to metro station and near shopping mall. Very convenient to travel around and hunt for food. Room is clean and spacious, down side my room package does not come with breakfast..

Needs an overhaul
As it was a business trip, we had to stay at a location that was convenient for both the early starts at the meeting venue and a very early flight from Capital airport - this was ideal. That's about it for the positives - close to the metro and on the airport express line, and a quick taxi ride to the airport when the express isn't operating during the night. We knew it would be no-frills, but for the price paid it wasn't great. If you're used to sleeping on the floor or other hard surface, then the mattress would be perfect for you. However, if you need even the slightest bit of cushioning, perhaps bring your own topper! The pillows were also like breeze blocks. You also only get one tea bag/one coffee sachet per day for 2 people, so if you like your caffeine, bring your own. It was also at the time of year when Chinese hotels still have the central heating on; the air con in the better class of hotels can usually counteract the overwhelming heat, but despite it being 27C outside, the air con in this hotel just pumped out more hot air, which made for a very uncomfortable few nights. Most of the time, you can just open the window but owing to extra security for the "belt and road" meeting, the window handles had been removed!!! Minor things - it is a bit shabby now and needs a good steam clean, and the staff could benefit from some "customer service" training. This location is excellent and the subway entrance is literally right outside the doors of the hotel. There is also a large mall about a block away if you're bored and want to walk around the area. The room was clean and simple, and the free water and other drinks provided was appreciated.

A guard literally sit by the elevator around midnight. Why? Is this government run hotel? Feels like a joke! That alone makes the hotel very cold and hostile. The proper way is standing by the front entrance and offer your help, not sitting there like a dead person.

Great manager at front desk.
Mr. Jone Xia at front desk was an outstanding help & represents what one expects with an Accor hotel like Novotel. He really went above and beyond to make my stay more enjoyable.

Good location, poor value for the price
I stay in Beijing hotels often and the construction of the room and hotel are quite a bit below what is would expect for $140 USD/Night. If there’s something else near by at this price I’d deffinstely take a chance on trying that. This place should be about $100 USD/Night and then it would make sense to stay there. Location was perfect for my needs though.

Room was fine. I got this because it was close to the subway station AND an airport express station - so it was perfect! wifi was spotty; I was traveling alone, so it was a little disconcerting that the security "lock" on the door was broken. Really nice shower stuff (shampoo, conditioner, body was) from Novotel that was apparently made from fair trade sugar from Paraguay. I wish it had been clear that certain things in the minibar were complimentary.
