“Great hotel and location”

Very nice property and well located. The subway is on the same block, no need to even cross the street. The hotel is nearby Wangfujing Street, a great place for shopping and dining. Nice area, safe and good overall. Great value!

“Fabulous Beijing Hotel”

We stayed at the Park Plaza Wanfujing in May and were really impressed with the hotel. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was modern, large and clean and overall the hotel was excellent. We also enjoyed the Club Lounge facilities. We will definitely stay at the Park Plaza Wanfujing the next time we are in Beijing.

“Great Place to Stay”

This hotel was a great value. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The restaurants are a little limited, but there are plenty of places to eat in the area. Housekeeping was very good and receptive to our needs. It would be nice if there was a convenience store in the hotel, but there is a small store across the street. The Concierge was very helpful but would try to push some of the major tour groups.

Couldn't fault this hotel. Good value for money, good rooms, good service. We took up the offer of breakfast, happy hour and free internet access mentioned by other reviewers - that was excellent too.

“Better Than I Expected”

This hotel was perfect for me. It was situated just a little off the main street which you could easily see from the hotel. You can actually walk to the forbidden city and Tienanmen Square or take the subway next door. You can eat a really nice resturants across from the hotel or eat on a budget in the little side shops. I recommend eating breakfast at the hotel and eat the remaining meals elsewhere. The hotel while OK is not worth the price. My high speed internet was fine with no problems. The majority of the staff spoke English well. Just be prepared to meet many people from different countries at this hotel. I enjoyed my stay very much.

“Excellent hotel”

We were very much impressed by the hotel's quality at a very reasonable price. Its location is very convenient as well, close to Wangfujing street, and there is a subway station entrance 50 meters from the hotel. The Starbucks in front of the hotel offers a good breakfast alternative if you don't plan to have a full buffet breakfast in the hotel. We choose this hotel by reading these hotel reviews on Expedia, and stayed in many other good hotels around the wolrd for the same reason. One complaint we had at check-in is that the hotel was not aware at all of our special request (connecting rooms). The hotel reservation system apparently does not capture the "Special Request" field information filled out by Expedia users, and they have no record of these requests. As a results we had to change rooms midway during our 4 nioght stay.

“only one misshap!”

When I departed the hotel, the concierge told me that Hunan Airlines only operated out of terminal 3 so that's where the taxi took me. But at the airport I learned that Hunan Airlines is actually in terminal 2 for international flights. The airport is huge. I had to take another taxi over to terminal 2 and nearly missed my flight! But, fortunately, everything worked out.

“A wonderful haven after a day out in a very air polluted Beijing”

If you are going to Beijing for business or leisure, this great value for money hotel is the place to stay. Is easy access to both high and low end shopping and eating, many within easy walking distance. Da Dong restaurant, across the road, is an eating experience not to be missed. It has several signature dishes and Peking Duck is a multi award winning one, as is the restaurant itself. Book ahead, go early and make an experience of it. Not all staff speak English but the menu is illustrated and easy to follow. A little expensive but excellent value for money. There's a Metro subway station literally 2 minutes walk from the hotel - get the lobby staff to show you the short cut - you can travel a long way on a 2 Yuan ticket but we chose to use an SV pass for speed and convenience of getting through. The staff at this hotel are superb. All lobby staff are confident in English, very helpful in providing suggestions/advice and very willing to write directions for cabbies, station staff etc... in Chinese, which proved very helpful on several occasions. When out and about, take the advice of "Lonely Planet - Beijing" right from your very first, "smooth-talking" encounter with those who approach you and shower you with compliments and platitudes - they are most likely to be touts for rip-offs focussed around tea, calligraphy or an art exhibition. Finally, start your day with the buffet breakfast at this hotel - lots of choice, Chinese and western, and great value for money.
