50 minute trip on subway to tiamen squarePosted Oct 15, 2011
I enjoyed my stay, the staff were fabulous, as was the room. sadly the pool was not working, but we were busy sight seeing like crazy. I kew this was out of the way, but had no idea that there would be nothing but construction near by. No worries, we eat the great breakfast each day and headed off, when we returned we had eaten in the city before hoping on the subway. Just plan for it, it is a marvelous hotel and the staff could not have been more accomidating, I would stay again, and in a year or so the rest of the neighbourhood will be built!

Great hotel for business, not vacationPosted Aug 20, 2011
The hotel is very new, with very courteous staff. I loved how everyone was polite and smiled at me, I think it really makes a big difference in the quality of the hotel so keep it up! My only complaint is that the hotel location is not good if you want to get to the center of beijing. There is a subway station nearby but it takes around 45 minutes to get to Tiananmen. That was a mistake on my part, but it was great being able to come back to such a clean and beautiful hotel room at the end of the day.

Good hotel, but very isolatedPosted Aug 16, 2011
I wanted to stay at a nice hotel and didn't care if it was out of the way since I've been to Beijing several times before and wasn't planning to leave the hotel. This was a great hotel, but it is really out of the way. It's on the southern tip of Beijing and it costed 130 RMB to get to from the airport (something to consider if you're trying to save money). There is very little to do in the area, but the subway isn't too far, so if you do want to go into the city, you can. Just give yourself an hour. The hotel itself and the hotel staff were excellent though.

Pullman south Beijing BDA Great stay great pricePosted Jul 1, 2011 on Hotels.com
Beijing BDA (Yizhuang) is on the far south south-east side of the the city. Not close to the tradition tourist sites but the hotel is a block from the new subway line. the Pullman Hotel South was wonderfully priced, significantly lower than similar hotels in other parts of the city. We received a free upgrade upon arrival as an appreciation for using hotels.com. The room was larger than most of the hotels in china I have stayed in. A soft western bed, many pillows, a huge bathtub and a separate shower. Several English TV channels. The indoor pool was very nice. Not as deep as I would have liked but very well maintained, clean, and not crowded. The unique jacuzzi/spa pool was a wonderful addition. It was a second pool sized jacuzzi with stations that focused water-jets on specific parts of the body. The kiddie pool was OK, but a little cold. We booked our room with free breakfasts. The breakfast was a wonder western buffet with some traditional Asian dishes. Really a treat for people longing for a taste of home. The hotel has several other restaurants on site, Japanese Teppanyaki, Italian, and Chinese HotPot. These are not budget friendly places but I am told great food. A 10 min. taxi, and you can be at a Starbucks, Papa Johns pizza, or affordable traditional Chinese places. Or have dominoes or KFC delivered. 30 min. taxi (traffic pending) or two subway transfers to either the Forbidden City or GuoMao (Central business Dist.).
