Fantastic ServicePosted May 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Good Service attitude in Food and Beverage. However, hotel should have choice of simple breakfast at fair price, instead of just buffet style breakfast.

Look ElsewherePosted Oct 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
An ok budget hotel but I'd look elsewhere if possible-- closer to subway. It's a hike to get to major sites or subway. Bathrooms are very moldy.

Nice classic hotelPosted Aug 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
Qian Men Jian Guo was well located for what I wanted to do. It's a classic hotel that has been renovated. Its foreign currency exchange won't cash traveler's cheques (they say it has something to do with their license from the Bank of China). The toilet tank needed a new rubber flapper in the bottom; it ran continuously, making noise and wasting water. A light bulb in a bed lamp was burned out. I reported both to management and had a personal e-mail from the manager saying those things would be attended to. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices, and the staff were pleasant and friendly. They spoke passable English, although my ability to speak Chinese was helpful.

very comfortablePosted Mar 29, 2012
Pros: nicely maintained. staff very helpful. english ok
Cons: wi fi was very unreliable and frustrating. no relaxing sitting areas in the lobby that were't part of restaurants.
Location: very central to lots of things. bit far from the subway to walk though.
friendly staff and rooms very clean and comfortable. wi fi was a problem though - kept dropping out. breakfast good in restaurant. close to acrobat theatre.

Beijing traffic is horrible, hence the hotel location is very important. We were disapointed that the nearest MRT station is a good 20 minutes walk taxi is hard to come by and most of them operate w/o meters the people are un helpfull and most of the time clueless...

Nice lobby. bad room.Posted Jan 27, 2010
Room very noisy (I thought that the neighbours were in my room). I booked a room with a king size bed, I had a room with 2 single beds. And it was a smoking room :-(
