Charming hotel in central BeijingPosted Jul 3, 2014
My daughter and I stayed here on a recent vacation in Beijing. It was centrally located---close to sights as well as the subway---but on a very quiet side street (hutong). They had a lovely courtyard with tables and an adjacent bar and restaurant. We loved almost everything about this hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

Charming little hotel in a hutong a 30 minute walk east of the forbidden city. Very comfortable beds - best sleep I had in China. Very attentive and helpful staff. Free bikes for use to ride around the city.

Traditional hotel near Forbidden CityPosted Apr 29, 2014
The Red Wall Garden hotel is an oasis in a very large city. The staff speaks English better than other hotels we stayed at in China. The hotel has a traditional Chinese look; not a high rise, down a small street and decorated exterior and interior in traditional style. There is a very comfortable courtyard which the rooms overlook. The hotel set up taxi rides at a normal rate. The food was very good at the restaurant. The room is quite large and the bathroom was a good size.

Traditional Courtyard HotelPosted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: Location great for metro station. Atmospheric music played in the background of the courtyard. Great staff.
Cons: For breakfast- provide more variety of cereals for us westerners. More variety of fruit. Restaurant was ok for food but better available outside
Location: Located near metro and shopping area just round corner. Quiet location.
We stayed during our first 4 days in Beijing. The hotel was down a traditional Hutong lane which was a challenge for taxis but easily reachable by foot. The traditional styling was a great welcome to China and seemed pretty authentic. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. They purchased tickets for us for train travel later in the week which was very helpful They also provided a couple of metro travel cards which we topped up. Furniture in the rooms was very characteristic- some seemed authentic and antique. Breakfast area very nice.

Perfect place to stay in BeijingPosted Apr 8, 2014
Cons: I ordered an extra bed that was very hard with no cushioning. I recommend the hotel to purchase a foam top for extra comfort.
Great location with subway stations, local restaurants and international ATMs all within minutes from the door steps. This qaniet Courtyard hotel is located in a narrow alley share with a Motel 8 and a hostel. The only negative aspect is that it may be hard to find for some taxi drivers and there is no room for taxi to stop and wait. The staff is excellent and very helpful and efficient with a good command of the English language. Breakfast buffet is really good with western and Chinese food. The decor is beautiful inside and outside of the guests room. The courtyard is very welcoming for drinks and resting. I love my stay at RWGH and recommend this to anyone.

Great people, my fave boutique in the world:-)))))Posted Mar 31, 2014
An historical setting in a famous hutong situated among the homes of prominent people and world class hotels. I had never imagined such peace and tranquility in such a busy city. Best of all; the staff were truly happy to make guests feel at home! The rooms were adourned with antiques, perfectly balanced with modern amenities. My trip to Beijing was incredible. I can't wait to return to The Red Wall Garden Hotel :-))

Best hotel I have ever stayed in!Posted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: It was the service and all the thoughtful finishing touches that made this hotel feel so special.
Cons: Nothing, they have thought of everything!
Location: The location is fantastic, being very close to a tube station and all the central attractions of Beijing.
From the moment I arrived I loved this hotel! I was upgraded to a beautiful duplex suite with an amazingly comfortable bed and so many thoughtful touches. The central courtyard area is so stylish and tranquil, even though the hotel is right in the heart of the city. The most stand-out aspect of the hotel though were the staff and management; they were so incredibly helpful towards me when I had issues with my visa and really went above and beyond to try to assist.

Great location!Posted Dec 29, 2013
Pros: The location, cozy feel, and friendly staff.
Cons: Perhaps having more front line staff who can speak at least one foreign language would be good!
Location: You're in the heart of Beijing and can walk to all the major points of interest from this hotel.
