“Quiet luxury”
Lobby is not impressive with a very uninteresting water feature but the rooms are beautiful with understated luxury - gorgeous art works - fabulous pool and fitness area. Bathrooms are wonderful - you can even watch TV in the bath - there is a glass wall and a speaker. Excellent central location within walking distance to Tianamen Sq. Good value for money.
“The Regent Beijing”
The amenities were awesome and had almost everything one could need in these ancient Chinese boxes. The room was very elegant with a nice bath tub. One could see in the far distance the imperial palace. Nice location.
“Impressive and a great deal”
We had a wonderful 3 nights at the Regent in early October. Fantastic rooms, great facilities, good location, and a superb executive lounge. We booked through Expedia and got a killer rate for an executive room. It was well worth it, since there were 3 of us, so the deal included buffet breakfast for 3, evening cocktails, and heavy hors d'oeuvres - so essentially breakfast and dinner (and drinks!) daily for 3 people. I did happen to see a printout in the lounge of customers who were staying on the executive levels, and what their booking source was. Expedia accounted for well over 50 percent of what appeared to be several dozen registered executive level guests. So clearly a good thing going - at least for people like us during that time period. I would highly recommend this hotel.
“Great Hotel”
We had never traveled to Beijing before and wern't sure what to expect. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the staff was wonderful.
“Regent Beijing is a wonderful experience”
The Regent Beijing is easily a 5 star hotel and is exceedingly comfortable. It is located 1 block away from the famous Wangfujing "walking street" for excellent shopping and street vendors. It is about 2 blocks away from Chang An Blvd, which is the main east west thoroughfare in central Beijing. The Regent is located near many, many restaurants and shopping stores ... small and large. You can walk to Forbidden City, although it will be a 20 minute hike. Taxis are plentiful, and the Regent staff give you a card with all popular destinations written in both English & Chinese. The back of the card includes Regent Hotel info so you can return to the hotel by simply showing the card to any taxi driver. While best suited to business travelers, I would highly recommend the Regent Hotel to any visitor to Beijing. A gem!
“The hotel that exceeded expectations!”
It's one of the best hotels that we've stayed in. We're celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Regent Beijing and the hotel staff were very thoughtful in setting up our room with rose petals daily, we had a complimentary bottle of wine, and the hotel manager even wrote us a congratulations card! Starbucks is just outside the hotel. While Wangfujing is within walking distance, the hotel is nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Regent Beijing has way exceeded our expectations and we'll definitely be staying there at our next visit.
“Wonderful Hotel”
Hotel is excellent and in a great location. Everyone at the Hotel was very helpful, the rooms were very nice, beds very comfortable---a pleasant experience at a beautiful, welcoming hotel
“Outstanding Beijing Hotel convenient to everything”
One of the most outstanding features of this hotel is that very few westerners stayed here. The room was one of the best in terms of design, comfort, convenience, and cleanliness that I have ever stayed in! Had a wonderful spa with gorgeous treatment rooms with extended hours so you could spend the day out and about, have dinner and still get a massage to end your day. The breakfast buffet is unsurpassed in terms of quality and selection. I didn't pay extra for the Regent Club but it may be a good value particularly if you like to have a drink or two. The lobby, public areas and the garden area adjacent to the lobby bar are gorgeous. Location is convenient to Forbidden City, T Square and the Metro (which can be crowded but is the best way to get around the city!) - all in all this is a great hotel and the rate I got for a 5-star was terrific!!
“highly recommended”

“Very Impressive Hotel”
We were very happy with our stay at the Regent. It was a conveniently located hotel with every possible luxury. The Rolls Royce dealer is actually located in the lobby of the hotel! The room was excellent, the service was splendid and the willingness to help in every possible way was impressive. We had our college age son staying in our room and they provided a comfortable additional bed at no charge. My wife used the spa the last morning of our travel and had a great massage. I can recommend this hotel without any hesitation.
