sumptuous hotel, good location from metro

Pros: staff were superb. Dirk and Alfred at the concierge desk did a great job of advising me on tours, travel, taxis etc.
Cons: nothing.
super stay. lovely hotel. well located next to a high end mall and the metro station.

Cons: outside has some remodeling, should let customers know ahead of time.
Location: shopping mall, and places.
I have a wonderful time with Hotel, pickup service, club food, and spa. Very well-trained service people and very friendly.

Regular Shangri-La experience

Pros: Familiarity of experience, comfortable and familiar room.
Cons: Wifi speed and nespresso machine. The powdered coffee is awful.
Location: Beijing is a big metropolis, most of the time you need a limo or taxi. This hotel is as close as anything if that's the case.
This is a nice comfortable hotel, I only stayed two nights this week, on neither occasion did I sample the food so I can't speak about that. The room is comfortable if a little bit dated by today's standards, but that's the Shangri-La style. I have stayed in the Summit Wing before and would recommend paying a bit extra for that because it's much newer and more modern. But this is a good old-school Shangri-La with that familiar scent, and familiar room facilities. I could have done with a faster Wifi service and I hope they will consider installing Nespresso machines in the rooms.

Location: Went to Great Wall- traffic is horrendous make LA appear not to have a traffic problem

Very good experience .
